I've been with the game for about 3 weeks. I've got a Thrasher equipped with 7 150mm ACs, a MWD to close the distance, and 400mm plate. I've been slicing through drones and other minor craft in L1 agent missions. Should I be ok with L2 missions? Or are these primarily for cruisers? (This is really my only beef with Eve so far. I have no concept of the difficulty of my opponents and mistakes can be really costly for a first time char)

I've done all level 2 missions, even the hard ones in a thrasher - did not tried the new and hard (??): Tech Secrets.
My setup = 7x200 autos, 1 rocket launcher
Mid: AB ( try named cuz u need the speed), Web and Cap recharger I or named.
Low: Small armor rep ( i have used named and worked but with T2 or faction will work even better) and 400mm plate.
Mwd will not work in deadspace.
Ure setup with Mwd and 150mm is very good for Kill missions.

get the skills to use:
micro aux power core
medium shield extender
Fit medium shield extender and use an afterburner and 250mm autocannons as you can (fit a webber) and you should have the time of your life.. :)

At 3 weeks, you may struggle with the harder level 2 missions. These missions are really intended for a cruiser when you have such low SP. Although it really depends on your character and what skills you've trained already.
Give it a go, you'll be able to tell pretty quickly whether you can tank the enemies or not. Damage will not be a problem for you in a destroyer. If you cant tank, warp out, and either train for a cruiser or do level 1s until you have more SP.

Just get a cruiser. They do them faster anyway.
