Hello,
I have a very annoying problem while playing EVE. In short sesions (< 3h) everything works fine. But if i play longer than 3-4h my PC starts randomly to load data from the harddrive. This takes sometimes several minutes and the whole game completely stucks. When i keep playing it gets even worse. Any Ideas?

Disabling sound helps in most cases. The mem leak problems might have to do with the way sound is handled - depending on the sound card. I suspect the EAX routines to be the culprit.
It could be your virusscanner though too. Or an autoupdate or or or.

There is multiple reason why.. if you check your task manager.. is the cpu maxing out? if so is the eve.exe that is marked as running at 100%?
Check also for heat issues.. could be your system locking up due to that.
Although you mention the HD being accessed when you are playing all of a sudden this could be the paging file becoming highly used indicating memory running out. then again I could be completely wrong on all of it ----------------------------------------- Irish or living in Ireland, check out: |

This problem only occures in Eve. There no other programm consuming the cpu power and it is no heat issue. This only occures in EVE. If i play more than 5h, my PC load data from harddiak all the time. The game will stuck the whole time. For hours, if i kepp playing. Only because of the loading...
I have a tool which displays me the free RAM of my machine. If i keep playing the free RAM decreases and the consumed RAM by EVE increases.
HELP!!!!

Try increasing your swap file.
Right click my computer -> properties -> advanced tab -> performance options -> virtual memory <- Increase this to double your current ram in your system. If you have mutliple drives try moving your swap file to another drive and see does that boost performance. ----------------------------------------- Irish or living in Ireland, check out: |

512MB RAM und 1024MB virtuell. This is not the Problem. The Prob is, that EVE memory consumation slowly increases until it reaches the machines limit. It starts with ~170MB and ends about 350MB. In this stage the PC stucks completely and loads data from drive.
