Here is my situation and I would appriciate any advice people might have.
I got my first level 2 agent after 27 missions with my level 1 abysmal (-18%) agent. She is rated Awesome (+16%) and I have worked her to the great catagory of +8% additionally, a tick or two away from max on the slider. I have done 54 missions for her and then she recommends a poor (-16%,+4%) level 2 for me in a nearby system. While she has no additional skill, though she claims she does, the new level 2 has "donations/gifts/bribery".
The questions are:
1) Should I stick with my original Awesome agent to get my level 3 or work the new poor agent up to be able to take advantage of the bribery option.
2) What does the bribery option specifically affect; race standing, corp standing, faction standing?
3) Even though my Awesome level 2 has no extra skill listed, she often claims the availability of other services. Are these real or just script and how would I access them?
P.S.- A little thing I found out. I had a Amarr rating of -7.42 and got a kill mission that would not drop on a Amarr spy. I failed the mission but, not only did the various rankings drop a tad, the Amarr goverment gave me an immeadiate +5.0 bonus. This took my Amarr standing from -7.42 or some such to above -2.0, allowing me to enter Amarr space again. Just a little FYI for getting some severe ratings back to tolerable.

... i think it (quite logically) increases the personal standing of the agent towards you. Bribed my lvl.3 agent once --being he's the only male agent i have, i happened to have spare cash and his initial rating was absolute neutral-- and for 1-2 days his standing towards me was "Fine". After which he switched back to neutral, greedy lil' bustard.... *sighs*

Stay with your Awesome agent. Pays higher and the probability of him/her giving you a level 3 agent is higher.

Look at the information window for your agent. Any services that he/she is capable of giving is displayed there. If it's not there, then he/she does not do that service. Also, the only way to access any agent service is thru the first dialogue window when you talk to him/her. |

This was a bug (the faction reset bug) and has been fixed.

Happy, I have found that bribing an agent is great for standing with various empires. I have a Caldari agent (lvl 2) who accepts bribes. When I give the max bribe of 300k my standing with caldari state, concord, and Jove empire goes up as if I have done multiple missions for the agent. I am maxxed at 4.0 for the corp Im working for so that cant go up anymore. I bribe once an hour or so if my wallet is in good shape in hopes of getting concord to 2+. My 2 cents...Hope it helped.
