this is not correct, before eve there was just earth and its solar system, the people of earth had expanded as far as they could and as a result, started to turn on each other in war, until the eve worm hole opened up and the new systems were colonised. eve gate was build, and worm hole collapses then soon after that the eve gate is swallowed in a gigantic magnetic storm and it has been that way ever since. of course this happened 20,000 years ago, and in RL we don't even know for sure what happened 2000 years ago and i find it hard to belive that anything about earth is known factually.
i find i'm more interrested in hwat earth would be like, 20,000 years after the closeing of the new eden gate, has the human race there advanced to some supper empire. are they searching for eve again? have they destroyed themselves ian a war? there is no answer because we will never know, nor would i want to, because anyhting anyone came up with would only disappoint me, i'd rather decide for myself

i dont think we could ever totally destroy ourselves, war has a natural balancing effect at some point. however its possible that the Milky Way is a bunch of seperated factions like EVE or there is a massive alliance that runs everything but the fringe worlds under an iron hand.

All the acelerattion gates in EVE was made by the old earth ppl who fly tru the eve gate, and we all know those are really old and far more advanced that any empire can develop atm.
If we consider the current jovian actitude im sure they gathered enough info about from where we come, also at inmensea some joves joined the project (maybe they hoped really open back the eve gate to fly back to "home") and about all i found quite similar the introduction description about how the earth was at those days and the current organization of the caldari state.
If we consider that joves know how old terran society was organized when eve gate closed, that would explain why also the caldari got one of the highest relation standing to joves in game as long as we can be a "project" of how would be now that terran society.
Of course if u wanna know the whole truth go and ask the jove leaders if they are willing to give information instead of keep it =)

Stargates were built in recient time, the ones built by the terran were mostly destroyed or run down. as for the Accelleration gates those are with in systems and were used to compensate for long distances with in the solarsystem in a prewarp era

i know stargates are recently build by empires, but no the aceleration gates, not sure where maybe in tutorial says they are really old and no onw know who build them.
If we would be able to build more aceleration gates most of pirate outpost in empire would be destroyed in days, just building a new aceleration gate and sending an empire strike force when no one expect that

Tha chuti jovians are the 5th race of EVE, atm they are non playable unless for some Devs of CCp like TomB.
there is plenty of info about them, they are enigmatic, extremely advanced and they have a lust about any kind of knowledge they can gather.
I suggest you read the chronicles about some picks of them, also the jovian wet grave short storie will give you a basis about them

As the EVE world appears to have many habitable planets, it is reasonable to imagine that many of them are lifebearing worlds with complex ecosystems and potentially millions of species. The EVE scientists have mastered cloning and so are bound to be well aware of the process of genetic evolution.
On Earth we have a degree of knowledge about our own evolution, mainly because we have a treasure-trove of information about this right under our noses (mammalian species, primates, etc). In EVE this is not available. We would appear to be a very distinct and usual species with no known genetic relatives whatsoever.
The anthropologists of EVE would be forced to conclude that humankind evolved on a planet that has been permanently locked off from us.
The ship description for the Wolf says that it takes its name from a 'mythical beast known for its voracity' - a beast every bit as mythical as we ourselves are in EVE
