The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. The current "This week in EVE" gives on overview of the week 35/2013 from August 24th to 30th Dev blogs Email verification and you - Forum discussion All new EVE Online accounts require email verification with immediate effect. Already existing accounts can optionally verify their email with an according button on Account Management. Additionally everyone with multiple accounts can see all their own accounts registered with the same email. 28 Ships Later: Ship and Module Balancing in Odyssey 1.1 - Forum discussion CCP Fozzie gives in his latest dev blog an overview of changes coming to ships and modules in Odyssey 1.1. Devposts on the forum and news [Winter] Marauder rebalancing CCP Ytterbium introduces ideas on Marauder changes for the coming winter expansion. Marauders should overall keep their current PVE capabilities while increasing their PVP value. This is done by introducing a "bastion mode" for Marauders which makes them immobile for 60-80 seconds (depending on skill) and immune to remote effects like electronic warfare and remote assistance while granting them higher resistances, and increased weapon and lock range. Additionally Marauders will receive a Micro Jump Drive bonus and shorter target painter duration. But failing to read "This Week in Eve" will forever mark you as a lazy ****/person, and you'll most likely ending up in the queue of similar simians complaining that CCP has cheated by suddenly changing something that you wasn't aware of.
