Is it just me or are the servers down???

If you read around a bit, you'll discover that Eve's aging server cluster can't handle the amount of players that are now taxing the game. This is unfortunate, as it is something that could easily have been avoided by CCP simply admitting that there's a limit to the amount of subscribers they can accomodate with their current hardware. Of course, that would mean not taking any new subscribers, which would mean making less money.
Personally, I don't understand why they don't just shard into two seperate clusters and stop swinging at windmills, but I'm sure that debate has already been turned over many times here.
A shame, because when it works Eve is a pretty swell game. Hope it gets resolved someday.

Everything lagging as hell today - I thought re-locating the level4-agents should decrease lag. And yeah, the people in the local decreased from 120 to 60, but anyway it takes now 10-15 seconds to open a loot can. And waiting for the right-click-menu in station vault ("unlock items") for 3 minutes is also not very satisfying... Hope, they have any idea how to solve this issue. Fortunately there is no new hurrican in sight causing major delays in hardware deliveries.

Did you try logging in? Read the same for me but was still able to log in.. Moral of the story is dont always believe the status screen.

And Krev if you took a minute to read the dev's blogs, you would have know new hardware is about to be employed for better performance..
