The discussion of EVE Online forum moderation actions generally leads to flaming, trolling and baiting of our ISD CCL moderators. As such, this type of discussion is strictly prohibited under the forum rules. If you have questions regarding the actions of a moderator, please file a petition under the Community & Forums Category.
So please don't discuss about moderation, or it will be just an exuse for them to lock the tread.
Personally i'm disgusted on how the forums are these days, by some of the players and moderation.

Not really happy but content. I know there thing to improve but I don't hate it either.
If someone is being bad then report them, if you don't like the moderation then petition the ISD

I think it could use more flowers, better lighting, and an air freshener to covers the smell of horse carcass everywhere, but on the whole the it's okay.

I like the EVE forums. They are especially great if you need a hearty laugh.
On a side note...for the most part...asshattery is normally contained in GD. The other forum sub sections can be a great help. Don't know how many times across my characters I have posted in Ships & Mods for advice, and was given plenty of new ideas.
Just think of it like this...
GD is the Jita of the EVE Forums......a shithole. |

Yes and no.
The people with "the agenda" seem to be always banging away on the keyboards to always justify their cognitive dissonance.
But at the same time, it fun to whatch them constantly reply, squirm, and get mad when you give them motivation.
"Entitlement" is a euphemism for "I hate the way you play and it makes me cry like a baby".

But see that is why everyone "stealth" wraps their posts, so it doesn't get locked.
By and large, most people here are responsible adults, so we should be able to moderate ourselves to some degree.
Like I said already, go to the other sub sections. You will find the snarky attitudes and pretentiousness far less prevalent in those places.
GD is a tear jar. It is YOUR choice whether to fill it or whether to take from it to fuel whatever motivations you have. |

I remember this CCP Quite a bit of cursing and free expression from something representing the company. To now where threads are locked over even snarky comments.
In my opinion its because of the Incarna revolts. The idea that all that cash from not so microtransactions being halted by the players of the game do to the lack of control of the forums. It's misguided and won't stop it from occurring in the future but CCP CEO isn't adept at public relations in the slightest. |
