im sorry. not eve related. but i think 75% of the trolling flamewars (or is it flaming trollwars?) on this board come from people at work dashing off posts between Work Stuff.
Well, sorta everelated. I for one have decided to only post on contentious issues from home and stick to the fun stuff at work. For an example of my week so far, the new line below my sig pick as an actual honest-to-bog network outage alert i received today  .
Anyone else have anything ridiculous happen while posting, reading, trol... uh, waiting to get home to play?

I've had a Wolf Spider (harmless UK domestic garden spider) crawl across my right-hand as I'm holding the mouse waiting for Eve to load up.
Happened yesterday and I'm still twitching.
I HATE spiders.
Especially sneaky spiders.

I get some of these sneaky bastards here and some of them are BIG... If you have the light dimmed they are kinda reminiscent of tarantulas!

Hmm... around here Wolf spiders are a name given to some poisonous little nasties that are a relative of the brown recluse.

I have had tarantula's as a pet, I worked at a petstore that sold them and snakes, lizards scorpions..anything that ppl generally dont like.
I guess I am suited for pirate life in a weird weird way

and yeah, you have those in Holland as well. You can feed them crickets and they'll get huge!
Joshua, keep them and show 'em when you have girl scouts at the door. Somehow you strike me like a person who'd do that ;)
edit for typo, and josh...i meant it as a compliment, or do you like girl scouts? Its a general tip to deal with unwanted people :)

Yeah. I have heard you will get some power installed soon in this mega cottage called U.S.A.; didn't know you are still so pre-historic . So that AT&T and fire stuff fits perfect in this scenario  .

Yep - the forums are a great little venting/mini-break from work. I read the forums between experiemnts I am running (especial kinetic based reaction experiments) or when taking a break from writing a report.
In my line of work, little breaks through out the day are very helpful and the forums are one of the sources for breaks.

Forums are a great place to look like you're busy (assuming no one is actually looking at your monitor and is simply listening to you type at a mad rate).
Make sure you don't kill the spiders in your house. I think there's a superstition(sp?) somewhere that it's bad luck.
Then again if you subscribe to reincarnation you may end up being one yourself someday.
Maybe just maybe that spider was thinking "jeez what a n00b, move, let me show you how to r0x0r their b0x0rz" :)

i do a lot of abuse/antispam stuff too. I wonder if some correlation can be drawn between this and the choice of Minmatar...

I'm in the final stages of getting ready to migrate a production Oracle machine to new hardware at the weekend. Then migrate it back next week.
Fools won't believe they can just rent some CPU boards for the week! No! We must juggle production servers!
Plus I'm in the middle of reconfiguring a SAN.
Actually, I should be doing all of that - I'm catching up on the forums because it's more fun.
Any moment now I'll drop the wrong LUN ......
Anyway, if you're looking for a good SysAdmin, I'm *really* dedicated

lol. well this wasn't today but yesterday still, close enough. Was playing EVE and one of my paintball buddies snuck in the house and behind me and demonstrated he can peg the back of my head at about 10 yards. Then there was paintball warness in the house :/ didn't break anything but spent most of today crancking "EVE Radio" while cleaning little yellow splats offa everything.
Of for anyone wondering who won, he kicked my ___... coarse his gun plus equipment is more then 10x mine now...
