I'm in exactly the same situation...
its really disappointed to see ccp not even bothering to give the slightest hint of whats going on... even more frustrating to see the forum moderators from hell locking every other post on the extended downtime..

Oh come on CCP. I've just been offline fo a full day after flying back from Florida and being sick on the plane ("Would you like another vodka and cokes sir?" - "Why yes!")
Just slept it off and I cant play EVE! What is this? :p
Get the servers kicked up. :p

Originally by: Olsen'Kra Usually its very good, and customer service is usually great. But the last few weeks have put a lot of pressure on the Devs, because of the latest patch and huge influx of new players. As a side effect of that, we have got very little response lately and little forum feedback on the state of things.
We should be back to normal playability in Febuary according to the latest news item.
I'm more concerned that your forum avatar appears to be *ahem* without garments ================

Exactly!
I mean, even if you do screw something up, or are working on making it better, please let the general public, i.e. your subscribers, know what the hell is going on!

OK For all those that are asking for 'communication' let me put this to you.
What profound revelations are you hoping for?
If they came on and said 'The server is down, we are working as fast as we can' then what do you know now that you didn't know before? Obviously the server is down. And if you think they are not working on it then you are fools and should stick to offline play.
If they came on and gave you technical specifics on what is wrong with the server, what do you hope to do with that information? Fly to London and fix it yourselves perhaps? What could you possibly do that CCP don't already know?
If a Dev came on here right now and told oyu the problem it would hardly make things any better. So please stop flooding the forum with your endless moans and find other things to do today.
Historically, when CCP have experienced problems like this, they have always come out after the fact and told you what the problem was so you will get an explination at some point. But when you are given it hardly makes a difference to the current situation does it? - - - - - - -

ug.. not again.
It isnt downtime. Skills still train, the game still carries on playing even if you are no longer able to access it.
umm ... wrong!
I can't get on to change skillz... I can't get on at all... how is that not downtime?
it IS annoying about the fact the game keeps "playing" while we're offline, the fact that right now cans are popping, pos's are eating fuel, factories are finishing jobs, bp's are researching and popping out. thankfully i have a couple of days yet on my skill training and im assuming ccp will either have the servers fixed or at least let us poor *******s in on when it might be up again.
perhaps ccp could introduce a skill point time credit for these type of incidents... but you can bet your ass you wont get it.
