If I were to join a corporation that holds large mining ops, what sort of ISK/hr could I expect? |

You are potentially going to be the monkey for the organ grinder. Also corporations that heavily advertise themselves as doing certain activities such as large mining ops and Incursions are liable to attract more than their fair share of war-decs and other undesirable persons.
If or when CCP fully renovate the Corporation/Alliance Roles & Permissions interface with regards especially to POSes then it might be worth joining such a corporation and not just end up being used. But as it presently stands you would be better off skilling yourself up and doing mining or something else yourself. |

If you're starting out and a solo character, then a mining corp doing ops isn't as bad as others say. You don't have to worry about refining or hauling. Once you get your skills to a certain level, you can train into other skills for combat. That allows you to have your steady income from the corp, while letting you branch out into combat missions or pvp.
The corp you join should be as much about the people as it is about the isk.
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

if its pure isk we are after, check and do runs with them, see how much isk/h it gives you, many coprse I scouted out in my first week made me go less isk per hour then doing it myself and selling it directly to the first station I found (and that station had a bad price sadly)
They like to have both cakes so to say, without sharing with you.
If its for the fun and joy of being in a corp, pick whatever corp seems to be the most fun. One way trip! Why dont you drive? |

if you actually want a respectable amount of isk/hour it's never a good choice to mine. if you want easy isk with virtually no effort on your part; mining is great. |

Mining isn't and has never been the best isk/hour, but it allows you to do other things while making ISK... although I do find it relaxing :)

Mining is a great job for an Alt, I mine pretty much all the time while my main does PVP, Incursions, Low Sec PVE ect.
Always good to be earning while you are burning (other peoples ships or your own) .
PS, HS mining as the other require to much attention and I sort of ignore my miner while doing the real Pew Pew (mine while waiting and roaming ect). |

mining with orca boosts is always better than mining without.
if you dont like the corp ore payout dock up and drop it into a station to sell yourself.
if the corp doesnt like this find another corp.
Also you probably shouldnt be mining anyway, it's lame |

After reading a few comments on this post i would have to disagree with the perspectives made here.
1) You would like to be a miner, its is why you may of choose to play eve but still a choice you made. You should do what you decide as well because you will soon get bored if you dont.
2) ISK per hour of mining corps varies due to some corps having to invest the ISK in different areas of the corp and other financial stresses may effect the rate you could be paid at.
3) Mining solo is profitable but for making contacts, gaining knowledge and understand, for a social aspect and forefillment of what you choose i would say dont let any factor influence what you decided.
So my answer to the question here is you would need to ask the corp recruiter, mining foreman, mining director or CEO for that information. They may give a calculation, others salary style payment and others a combination of both. In my experience miners get paid directly for the ore they mine so i would say the more boosts the better isk for ore ratio. We could get more in to it a with points i mentioned above, although straight calc for isk per hour, take what you normally make now nad + the bonus from the fleet/ship booster.
