What are the best skills to train, and best modules to use to increase your ships Powergrid ? am having real problems at the moment coming up with decent setups for my caracal and Harpy.

Well there is Engineering that will increase the power grid. Weapons upgrades which diminishes CPU needs of weapons and Advanded Weapons upgrades that diminishes their powergrid needs.
I think the best modules are Micro auxialliary power core's.

Ok, cheers for that, i have engineering V already, will train Weapon Upgrade and Advanced Upgrades to V as well.

Question:
Do they make higher quality aux powercores or do those work as a multiplier?
Because I can't see how using an Aux Power core that does, what, +12? power grid would be more worthwhile once you have 120 power grid in your ship's base level (after your engineering bonus) versus going with a Reactor Control Unit that gives +10%.

It is ship dependent good micro aux power cores can give 20-40 PG (can't rem exact numbers). You are correct this would be useless on a ships such as Cruisers or Battleships and some frigs as opposed to a Reactor Control Unit. However a ship with a tiny PG such as an Interceptor will benifit much more from an aux power core than it would from a Reactor Control unit.
