Anyone know why a corpse should weigh 200kg? I hauled the corpse of my alt back to base for decent burial and a corpmate noticed the mass She seemed such a slip of a thing too - Sebiestor with the malnourished look, I guess I know now why they only show the head on the piccies. Pretty safe to fly through Fountain, I do it all the time. Thier bark is bigger than their bite.

Evolutionary pressures in the Eve cluster have resulted in increases in bone density and greater muscle mass in many of the human sub-species' over the past few millenia.
The high-repeat content of the human genome compared to that of other mammalian and even other primate species allows for rapid adaptive evolutionary changes in the face of selection pressure. Thus, only a few thousand years is sufficient for some minor evolutionary changes to occur.
This early adaptive change, combined with the restoration of wide-spread space-age civilization and the attendant high-nutritional content and balanced nature of diets of modern humans, also has resulted in substantial increases in the median height of Homo sapiens eveus. The occassional genengineering effort may also have played a role.
Thus 440 lbs is reasonable (!), when also considering the tattered remains of the flight suit, rebreather, urine/fecal-processor and such. We won't count the missing leg, and well, most of blood stays in the body during decompression.
But yes, Homo sapiens eveus could kick the crap outta non-genegineered Homo sapiens sapiens. Or at least roll his/her 200kg/440lbs fat ass on top for suffocation purposes...
That, or the only two food groups in the Eve Cluster are Doritos and Quafe.

Yeah. If their anything like they were in beta, I could pod-kill 3 of them before they finally blew me up... haha... but I dont think they have the nubmers to do that any more... :D _________________________ Trolling is bad. Please dont do it. -rei |

We were often the last to find all the combat exploits, really let us down in beta combat against those who had them all hardwired

So thats the reason I'm so heavy....I thought it was because of my balls of steel or something.
...I'm 8'2 440lbs of muscle baby, and thats just my weight in space. On earth standards, I'm 1500 lbs.

the pilots in EVE really need to invest in treadmills... would be a nice way to power some of those low cap recharge ships... InfiniCorp, Lunatic at Arms
When you think of picking a fight remember this, I've got a big gun, and the insanity to use it. |

uhhm.. Maybe its because Fountain alliance isn't so bad as you think they are? Its not another Stain or Venal alliance.
But.. if you really want some action. Tell me the next time and I'll help you a bit. Hey I can even camp a gate and demand toll and threat to pod you etc.
I'm actually surprised someone thought it would be a bad thing that you don't get destroyed and podded immediately.
If you want that, travel through Stain maybe. I'm sure they can help you * -"You know, we play the "good guys" right? We kill pirates, griefers, retards and general subversive elements in the EVE-Community. To the rest, we are friendly and always prepared to help out. Peo |
