I mentioned it in a thread somewhere deep in the bowels of this forum but now I'm making it available to download to everyone:
Missile Damage Spreadsheet
Should be fairly self explanatory. You should change values in blue to suit your skills/ship setup. Values in red are calculated results and should not be edited lest you break the whole thing.
You can switch the graphs from showing impact damage to Damage over Time and even includes things like the stealth bomber bonus to cruise missiles.
Future plans:
* Change the stacking penalty for target painters and Ballistic Control systems to the new RMR formula. Currently uses the Cold War formula.
* Add data for as many ships as possible regarding resistances and inherent ship bonuses so ship setup for you and your enemy is just a click away.
* Add named module stats. Currently only has T1 and T2 mods/ammo.
* Factor damage resistance into the calculations.
* Limit ammo selections in the Comparison sheet to ammo compatible with the selected launcher.

I have in fact updated it today with Citadel Launchers/Torps and Siege mode for dreadnaughts!
See the first post for links. I'll get around to the BCS stacking probably around the same time TomB rolls us back to the old style ;)

Edited by: The Major on 04/12/2006 15:08:14 I apologise for not updating the spreadsheet sooner. I fully intend to include the new ship classes from revelations as well as assault missiles in the next version which will hopefully be ready this coming weekend.
I'd appreciate any help people can give in bug testing the new spreadsheet. Ideally if you can calculate your own missile damage values so you can double check the graphs (as these are where most bugs tend to creep in).

Looks really nice, and an update would be most welcome, also if you would be able to add the new rigs. But send me a mail ingame, and I will try to find the time to do some bugtesting on your calculator

A new version is currently available for testing (I'll update the first post when I get some confirmations that everything looks correct).
Missile Damage Calculator v1.03b
Changelog v1.03b
* Fixed Siege mode not applying it's damage bonus correctly. * Added Heavy Assault Launchers and Assault Missiles. * Added Tier 2 battlecruisers. * Added Tier 3 Battleships. * Updated the Typhoons Bonuses. * Updated the Hawks Bonuses. * Updated Assault Ship Signature Radius. * The Missile Comparison Sheet has been removed. Now only setup comparison remains. * You can only load allowed types of missile into a launcher. This includes Tech 1/2 restrictions. * Graph scales if Siege mode is active to compensate for the hidden aoeFalloff "Bonus" in Siege mods. * aoeFalloff "Bonus" now factored into Siege Mode.
There are numerous smaller fixes that are just me streamlining the formulas and lookups.
I'd appreciate if people can download this version and compare the values it gives to their experiences in the game.
