K, atm im trying the trial, with prospects to pay and play, but it seems every 15 minutes or so, the game will stop for5 to 8minutes then resume - repeat. Anyting i can do to correct this or is it client side problem?

it client problems mate some peeps have been logging off and logging back.
seems to do the trick but i normaly restart the computer if it gets to bad.

um, ok, and if logging in and out or reseting dont work? is there gunna be a patch for this problem?

The patch is scheduled for Tuesday, January 10th, and to my understanding it is intended to fix the memory drain, among other things.
The most common known work-around is to minimize Eve from time to time. Your OS will generally take back the RAM resourses Eve had claimed. The memory sink also occurs in the swap file, however. There is no known fix to prevent or cope with that short of closing Eve and restarting the program.
Regarding the RAM sink, some have had luck by changing the compatibility settings for Eve to Windows NT.

Going to be good to see this little issue fixed! Im sooo SICK of running out of ram and having to restart eve

Some say in "other things" they mean : "we'll finally perhaps try to do a playable game as you pay for". And, if we are lucky "we will give you the promised freighter can".
But better to not expect that much...
