Autopilot still screws up all the time..
Lets say you have to get somewhere to drop something off.. Well that's all fine and dandy.. But why the hell do I have to relog the game for autopilot to get me back where I started from?
If relogging fixes it.. It shouldn't be too hard to patch this..
And if you can not reproduce this.. You have to be the worst tester on the planet.

I can second that.
The other problem is the AP continously disables for no reason at all. I exit a station in my Bestower, enable the AP, slowly enters warp and turning, then the AP disables. I re-enable and it disables again. This can go on for a couple of times before the AP will stay on.
This is specially annoying on long travels - due to the boredom of travel you find yourself chatting on one of the chat=channels and suddenly you're 60km PAST the gate as the AP quietly disabled....
It's boring enough travelling as it is - having to sit glued to the screen to watch your ship every millisecond to make sure the AP doesn't disabale is annoying.

Odd I've not had any such problems since the patch before last. "Death Before Dishonor" |

No problems here either. Before you set any destinations try clearing your current destination, even if there isn't one.
Then if you are going straight to somewhere set a destonation. If you need to make stops set waypoints and not destinations.
It actually works pretty well for me.

I still have problems with it when making repeated round trips between 2 systems. After the 3rd or 4th leg I have to relog. Sometimes you can trick it by making the first jump by hand and then setting your destination, but not always.
I have tried setting waypoint instead of destination but I definitely am still seeing this. I would say it's a bit better than it was before but there are still issues.

Yes.. This can be extremely annoying at times..
Here's my Theories..
Autopilot most definitely disables when someone spawns near you.. So if someone exits a station your near...Autopilot Disabled
I also have the strangest feeling that AutoPilot will disable when someone rightclicks your ship and selects "Show Info"..

I've had the AP disable just after enabling it as I exit station, when I approach a Gate and after jumping through gate.
If travelling back and forth between two systems I begun setting my dest as Waypoint 1, and the system next to my starting system as Waypoint 2. Then doing the last jump manually. Rince and repeat. I still experience disabling, but it doesn't screw up as much.
Still, I'd very much like it fixed. It's been broken for so long

my fave AP bug is the one which actually doesnt warp you anywhere even though its set, and it also locks up the map. if you warp to any jump gate and go through it then activate warp again, it fixes itself, but it can be a real pain.. i get this most when i play windowed (at work) ______________

You just can't set the starting and ending location to the same system. Live with it for now, it's not like you can't set it one system short and do the last jump manually!

Live with it for now? Why not CCP fix it for now. Maybe fixing the stuck system bug has more priority over AP.. But uh.. I really don't think it could be that difficult to fix this.. It obviously has something to do with what is temporarily saved in the prefs.ini when you set a destination, and what is not removed from the prefs.ini correctly when you reach your destination. How hard could it be to fix.
It's not always as simple as you think.. I've had it so screwed up that my only options are to do each and every jump manually or relog the game.
These little things that ruin the gaming experience have to be delt with.
