I climbed into my armaggedon after being a bestower pilot for 5 weeks, I expected it to go slower - and it did, very slow. so I trained..
so I have SC 4 EM 3 and 5 yes 5 superb nano fibre expanders (each giving 35% agility bonus)
It still takes an age to warp, turn, start & stop.
are the nano fibres stackable? - thebase speed mod stacks but I can not beleive the agility bonuses are stacking..
please help / advise?

Edited by: Daan on 21/08/2003 21:11:40 afaik its -0.35% agility, try injectors instead.

Oh, and daan, negative agility bonus is good :)

not to be dense, but could you explain why? I think i know why but just to confirm my thoughts please. ______________________________________________ Hellmar > sorry for the attitude, playing a n00b character through the current state just left me a bit bitter dev chat: Mar 18, 2004

because ccp doesn't use any standard measure, sometimes, positive number has positive effect, sometimes negative number has positive effect

Negative value is good for agility, I would assume that the lower the better hence the value gets smaller with a negative boost.
ill try just 2 nano boosters as directed -- if any body has any other ideas I would be well pleased

Edited by: Daan on 22/08/2003 14:59:34 erm, so, lowering your agility increases your agility? edit: and what does a injector do then? raising agility to lower it?

To make it simple, nanofbiers reduce your 'slowness points' while injectors increase em.

"Negative value is good for agility, I would assume that the lower the better hence the value gets smaller with a negative boost."
... But to make it more confusing, original agility value is higher for frigates than for the cruisers, which in turn have higher agility value than the battleships... so this would imply higher agility = better.
But then on yet another hand, Condor which is supposed to be 'very agile' has lower agility value than larger, supposedly not so agile Caldari frigates... 'tis really a mess. o,o

I think it might have to with mass/weight as well.
Because some ships are more agile than others in the game although in the DB they have the same base agility. 'Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law' |

It seems to me that not all nanofibers are bugged. Basically have to fit them two at a time till you find some that work. I put two type E ss's and a Mark 1 on and get amazing agility. But when I spent millions and hours on getting the best nanofibers in the game and put them on, I lost all my agility and seems some more... so you have to mix and match till your ship starts acting like it has agility. (It seems that Local Hull Nanofibers is the best in the game but they do not work for their agility stats....)

the AB/MWD nerf made this even worse....my loadout on a badger 2 geared for cargo has a top speed of 108..
my Thorax is 166,
it took me 57 minutes to enter warp, because i was hung up on a station and i was curious how long it would take to acctuly get away.
bad bad bad bad bad!

I am going to log this as a petition as well

The max I can fit on my megathron is: 2x -0.35% + 1x -0.25%
If I fit more than that (ie. 3x -0.35), it will overflow some value and give me the worst agility.
I don't think they stack additive. with above mentioned setup I get, assuming the % sign rating is a buglet and the things actually give 25% and 35% agility:
Spaceship * Evasive * Type-D * Type-D * Type-E =
1 - (0.80 * 0.85 * 0.65 * 0.65 * 0.75) = -78.4%
Now because CCP has not provided us with the ship's base agility values and their relation to acceleration and turning speed, this percentage is completely useless :-)
It seems like a whole lot more than 78% too. I get instant acceleration and instant handbrake, and I can fly in squares and triangles around stuff. Heck, I'm already flying in the new direction before the ship turned to face that way :-)

Interesting stats, I think it blows the stats when you pass a 100% bonus.
I have put a bug report in.
