I have searched hard and long, it seems as though the old (good) socket A CPU's are a dying breed. Yes, I would love to spend ú350 on new components, but I am a poor bugger who wants to squeeze the last out of my current mobo.
I have tried dabs, ebuyer, aria, microdirct, komplett, savastore and many other in the hunt for the elusive AMD 3200+ barton but to no avail.
In short, the subject says it all, where can I get a good 2gig+ socket a CPU in the UK, prefferably the amd 3200+

Don't trust ebay, it's too much like escrow, so much so that people sell items over retail price. I mean, you're ON the internet FFS, look around for prices and see you're getting ripped off, plus you don't always know if the product is going to be in working order, if you'll get a refund.
Crazy people

Use your common sense while Ebaying, a socket A 2500 should be about 20 to 30 pounds. ----------------

That's what I hate about the 3200+, the variation in price is just bloody stupid but where they have the price they have no CPU. I'll prolly buy one ú30 more than the place that sells them cheaper and a week after they will be in stock.
Damn intranet!

Hopefully PC stuff will be better than...erm...girly stuff
For a ATI Radeon X1800XT 512mb DUAL DVI AVIVO PCI-E, with VAT ú319 so will be around ú330 with P&P

Yeah man, you gotta be so careful, read EVERYTHING TWICE, then read it again.
But nice work, very close, but that's Gecube, not Sapphire, sorry but in my eyes it like buying a supermarkets own brand beans instead of Heinz
