Saturday i started a new research project with my 2nd account...
But until 7am this morning i didnŠt recieve a mail from him.
No mail for the daily job.... 
Is he still ok? or.. Shmmmmm FUBARŠed?

it takes around a week or so for new R&D agents to ask you to do a courier mission for them. Once you stop going to see them, they will stop mailing u until u visit next. All you lose by not doing the courier mission (thats all u get), it the chance to double your RP's for the day, you will still accrue RP's every day as normal - suggest you boost your relevant sci skill up to lv2 or 3, to increase your RP intake.
If you use Lv2 or 3 R&D agents, you will need them at this level anyway.

The last R&D mission i was flying was back in 2004 ;)

It's been my experience that you only have to wait a day, but you do need to start a conversation with the agent to trigger the first mail.
I waited ages for my first R&D agent to mail me until I got fed up and went to have it out with him, but as soon as I started the conversation my mail box flashed. So I did the same with my other agents the day after I started the research project and the mails appeared straight away...

I have never bothered doing any missions for my r+d agents as they are mostly in unsafe space, can anyone confirm that I still have a fair shout at a BPO or does the lottery also depend on players regularly using their agents?

I have never been asked to do a mission for an R + D agent. You continue to pile up the points until the lottery where you su[pposedly have a chance to get a bpo. It was my understanding that the requirement to do missions for these agents to keep the points generating was removed awhile back. Im not a mission guru so maybe someone whos a hardcore R+D guy could help answer this question.

R&D agents are bugged.
Sometimes they dont give you nag missions if you stay in the system/station.
I've had GM reset my R&D agents a couple of times.
If the agent is new just wait a while.
And if you receive a nag mission and you finish it the other nag mission should pop up the next day. Just be safe to wait for 2 days and then petition. I hope they are on this and trying to fix it.
