I want to mine solo in deep 0.0 with an apoc.
I have an alt which at this time is only good for hauling.
I want to mine and do my best to tank rats while the alt hauls my ore.
I have 31m sp so its fair to say I have the skills & can use any T2 Laser and any T2 Mod that I may need to do this but not sure if its worth my time getting the alt to 0.0 and will I be able to fit to mine and tank at the same time.
Rats are serpentis.
No flames please.

well i have not tried sustained mining in 0.0.
i dont think the NPC rats will be the problem just fit a really good tank.
out corp will be doing 0.0 mining works soon. please drop us a mail in game join us. it better to do this in a group.

hi 8 t2 miners
mid 4 t2 cap rechargers ( or best named you can afford)
lo 1 accom or t2 large repper, 3 named harders, 3 co-proc II.
CPU will be your biggest problem, thats why named stuff is important. You should be able to tank any spawn without a bs and most of the lower end BS spawns. Just be sure to do some testing to know what you can and can't tank.

It is very, very likely you will not be able to run all 8 lasers, at best, 7. My setup:
Mid:
4 x 17.5% named cap rechargers
Low:
2 x CPR,
2 x Coproc 2,
1 x large armor rep 2,
1 explosive hardner,
1 kinetic hardner
I have level 3 or 4 Amarr BS which gives 5 % cap capcacity, and all engineering cap skills to 5. However CCP seems to keep jerking around w/NPC stats so be very careful. I went out to tank a spawn a couple days ago that was the EXACT spawn I tanked the night before, and almost got wasted. Mind you, this was 2 x 200k BC's and 2 Frigs! If you're down to 6 or 7 lasers, but cap is not recharging fast enough, fit a beta reactor control (hope that's the name). Its 25 % recharge w/ 15% cap capcaity penalty.

with good cap skills (with your sp I would say that's given) and amarr bs 5, you can run 8 mining lasers, 2 reps and 3 hardeners all day long.
High: Miner II or DCMs
Med: Capcharger IIs
Low: Large Accom x 2, 3 Hardeners for the rats, rest cap power relays.
Stagger the activation of the mining lasers to ensure they don't take massive chunks of cap at once.

It may also be handy using passive hardners with skills if you have a tight fitout. 3 t2 Adaptives aparently give a higher average resist than 3 t2 hardners. It depends on what damage you are taking though.

Thanks guys, this is all top info for me.
I will have Armarr BS in 12 Hours so then its off to the void to test out the fitting,
