Ever heard of TSBS? The Short Bus Squad?
I think we should create TSDS. The Self Destruct Squad.
Here's the problem: Much of EVE is cluttered with rookie ships, shuttles, and other abandoned ships that have been left by their owners to sit forever, clogging up space.
The solution: Get in a shuttle, and find the ships. Eject, board the ship, and set it to self-destruct. Lather, rinse, repeat.
I think we should get a group of people together who dedicate themselves to the mission of clearing this floating crap out of space. It probably wouldn't take many, but it would require a group of people willing to do this slow, largely thankless work. Maybe we could even get some wealthy "patrons" to sponsor n00bs to do this, for a small commission per ship destroyed. Maybe a thousand ISK each?
What do you think?

nice idea tho i doubt it would do much for the lag.

It's not really for the lag. It's just to clean some of the crap out of EVE.

Don't blow up ships people leave behind!!! If I had 5 ISK for everytime I've been in 0.0, in a pod, with no way to get a ship, and I found an abandoned ship for me to use next to a gate....ummm...1, 2, 3....errrr...yup! I'd have 5 isk.

I don't know, fine, maybe we'll just do it in empire. The clogging is much worse here anyway.
