So what would you consider buying?

Here's what I would pay for.
Ship skins.
+6 implants (they exist in the database).

Here's what I think would sell... and ruin the game.
Skillpoint reallocations.
Licenses for specific privileges such as premiere real-estate (offices, POS spaces) or reduced clone-jump time
Access to special high-reward missions or agents
Super insurance
Gold items, etc.

Do you reckon ship reskins should be permanent or a certain number of uses?

I'd like to see the elimination of NEX or at least the dramatic reduction in cost of everything to about a dollar each.

would say that about a couple of dollars is a fair price for a virtual clothing piece - comparable to Star Trek Online where a clothing pack is about 5 dollars 50 cents (includes a clothing item and some accessories like the combadge) - but STO is considerably less graphically intensive and therefore creating them is easier in STO than in EVE.

This post shows that some people just have not been paying attention. What they added to the store in Inferno, were about 100-500 Aurum which is about 1-3 dollars, and said that this would be the general price range of future stuff, with some special items possibly a bit more, possibly meaning tattoos.
BUT they decided to keep the legacy store item prices intact as to not **** off the people who bought the monocle for 80 dollars or the other clothes at their original price.

What would you want to see in the NeX store

MT in a subscription game is a terrible idea. We don't need a cash shop and another currency for buying vanity ship skins (and similar FIS stuff) that can be sold for isk + LP. If players create and/or generate that content , all the better.

Do what Valve does. Allow people to submit models and skins for CCP approval. When approved and added to the store, the creator gets a cut of every sale.

There is a market for avatar and other vanity stuff, there is no way around this fact, even if you hate them.

Decorative items for the CQ: Furniture swap outs, wall paneling, pictures, model ships,...
More cloths: Coats, overalls, bodygloves, dresses,...
More accessories: Glasses and jewelry, actual gloves, and - of course - more shoes!
Cosmetic items: More hairstyles and tattoos, hair decorations, cybernetic implants,...
Ship decals and logos...

Eve is not going to grow, If they only recycle the existing content. WiS as a whole would improve avatar interaction.

Right after Incarna was the only time in the game's history where the number of subscribers dropped dramatically and since CCP announced they were sorry for the disaster and promised to refocus on real Eve content subs have gone up every quarter. WiS almost killed Eve so I don't know why you think it would magically multiply the subscriber base by ten.

The "Greed is Good" memo and the subsequent riots and mass unsubscribing is what did that; not the WiS itself. And the only bad thing that happened about WiS is that it was so much less than what they advertised at the fanfest prior to incarna. I liked the idea- there really isn't anything to do with our avatars ATM, and if we could do stuff in the station, I'd like to at least try it.

Actually people were mad because Eve was ignored for two years and all we had to show for it was a room with a couch and a really bad microtransaction store.

I see your point; but at the same time, CCP is a company- they want(ed?) to make money. They tried to do so in a really flawed way, but they tried. Now I think they cater to the players more, not themselves as much- they're too afraid of the player base up and leaving So they listen to us a lot more.

I'd never buy anything, but if I did, it would be this ^^^

I have said it on more than one occasion:

- Your FW rank on the flank of your ship

- Decals indicating [important] kills on the flank of the ship [ship-type dependent, number dependent, faction dependent], think combat aircraft sporting such decals during war

- The corporations and/or Alliance decal, displayed on the flank of the ship

- The creation of a unique uniform, specific to a corp / alliance

- Miniatures of the Medals you were awarded, to be affixed to said uniforms

- A trophy case in which said Medals could be displayed within the Captain's Quarters

- A frame to which a screen shot could be associated, of an important event in EVE, to be displayed in the Captain's Quarters

- Movie experiences [safaris] where CCP's outstanding marketing team could create movies of the quality used in the announcement of new expansions, where players would be guided along dangerous routes and shown sites and structures in space that were 'heretofore unknown to the capsuleer'

- A corporate / Alliance livery applied to the ship, so that fleets would have a unique and customised look as they present themselves on the battlefield

- A means of gifting someone any of said items

None of these would be pay-to-win, they all go to deeper immersion and expression of what it means to be a pod pilot. They could be affordable and they wouldn't have to cost a monocle, say, so that the threshold would be low and people would actually want to invest in them. Many of these would be recurring sales and I believe, because there are quite a bit of vanity items there, people would be happy to spend some money on them.

I want to add that I have mentioned a number of these to CCP Unifex at fanfest last year and, since you all know that none of these items are there, you should take these ideas at face value because CCP clearly has not deemed them important enough to implement.
