I am able to log into the game, choose my character, then the window pops up telling me I am entering the game. Then nothing happens, the screen background is black and the "Entering" window stays there. But thats it. I have left it sit like that for a while with no change.
Help?

I think there is nothing to do about it
It's f*ck*d up that's for sure, just close Eve and try again.

try renaming ur cache folder in the C:\program files\ccp\eve
rename the cache folder cache2 and them try logging in if the works go back to the cache2 folder and copy the setting file from cache2 folder to the cache folder

Well my friend fixed his problem, but you aint going to like it
He tried everything, clean install of Eve (so no cache folders in the way) but nothing worked
He fixed it by reformatting....sorry for the nasty news |

Well, sometimes i have an identical problem, though i'm not sure it's the same problem you're having. When i'm flying around in space and get a CTD, getting stuck at "entering game as..." usually happens if i try relogging too fast. (i think this happens when i start logging back in when my ship hasn't finished warping to a safespot) After waiting a bit (around 15 minutes) the problem usually disappears, but sometimes it goes on for hours, which to solve i file a stuck petition asking for a GM to move me somewhere else, and that has always worked so far.

Had that hapen on one of my computers almost reformated it but then figured out windows firewall had reinabled it self. Disabling it fixed it for me atleast. Damn windows and its wird problem
