The ISS Navy [ISSN] is the corporate security branch of the Interstellar Starbase Syndicate [ISS]. The unit conducts offensive and defensive anti-pirate operations in support of the ISS.
The ISS is both a doorway for empire corporations into 0.0 space, and a driving force in the colonization of deep space. The alliance have built and maintains two public outposts in Eve, one in Pure Blind and one in Catch, in addition to numerous starbases. ISS is a strictly civilian organisation and struggles daily to remain neutral in inter-alliance politics in Eve.
Join a small corporate security unit in the defense and policing of the two public ISS outposts, Marginis and Borealis and the spacelanes leading to them.
Only serious applicants need apply. We will not pretend to be something we are not: Pirates more frequently than not outnumber and outgun us. It can be demoralizing. But if you like tough odds, good camaraderie, the chance to be at the forefront of one of the most ambitious projects in virtual worlds today and you enjoy the rush of player versus player combat, join us.
HereÆs what they said about the ISS in Escapist Magazine (Dec 05):
ôDespite - or perhaps because of - the fact that no real-world money is changing hands here, Interstellar Starbase Syndicate's outpost IPO is the most important economic event to have happened in a virtual world in 2005à Now, ISS sees the opportunity to spark a similar economic development in an area that's not yet securely under any one alliance's control. If their venture succeeds, it could change the face of the metaverse, not just in EVE, but wherever avatars look on and trust that yes, these things are possible.ö

We seek pilots of with approximately 2M and above, newbies and veterans are equally welcome.
Apply for ISS Navy in our outpost in the KDF-GY solar system û getting there in one piece is the first test.

Is there payment involved? What does one get for serving the ISS? Is there a rank structure or a sort of check and balances on the fleet leader who controls these ranks? I have more questions...

Edited by: Platina on 10/01/2006 23:31:23 Interested pilots should contain myself through evemail or ISS forum mail; I am the leader of the ISS Navy
ISS website: http://www.eve-iss.com/publicsite/
for more logistics stuff, contact Stins or go to eve-iss.com for regular ISS corporations.
Payment: ISS Navy supplies its pilots with corp insured tech 1 ships of all classes for ISS fleet use, as well as tech1 equipment. Only members who have proven themselves in combat are upgraded in rank. rank is gained through commitment and prowess, as well as through good attitude and active service. more rank, more permissions. Only myself, count, and indope have full access. Security precautions are in place to help prevent corp theft and spys from joining. The corp does not supply NPC or mining ships; individual pilots are expected to supply their own equipment for non-pvp purposes, or if they want to fly t2 ships. Further information on ISS Command structure, FC's, ect is availiable to all pilots on joining, and is by no means 'secret'.
cheers:)
p.s. and note: You will notice by corp history that ive been in ISS only a couple days; this is because this is a new character aquired through isk. My other character has moved on to more carebearish pursuits, when the demands of the ISS Navy allow:)

These Guys are VERRY good at what they do, many people may have ideas of iss being all industrialists , i can safely say that the combined talent of the fighting men and women of ISSN easily outweighs any thoughts you might have. |

I just have a general question. Say theres a group, who attacks ISS navy folk, but leaves the rest of iss alone. Would they be banned from ISS stations? (this is a theoretical thing my friend asked me) Stressed out with empire politics?

the iSS navy is a part of the ISS. aggressions against any ISS corp has the same consequences as aggressions against the ISS navy, and vis versa.
however, if your interested in attacking just the navy from a roleplaying perspective...maybe sometime we would be up for that. lol

Although I am still pretty new to Eve, my only goal right now is to eventually work my up to being worthy of joining this Corp. There is nothing more honorable, and enjoyable, then being an underdog and fighting to protect something important.
I'll work hard, and hopefully will contact you soon.

Wow... i have been looking for a corporation which has a view of justice and freedom as like that of a true Gallentean.
I am Valkyri Peacekeeper. I am into bounty hunting role (didnt bother with mining). I am quite new to EVE however. Nevertheless, it doesnt deter me from being a very good comrade and pilot of service to whom i am working for.
It would be an honor if you could consider my application. I have teamspeak installed (still have to buy a mic though) :)
Any other requirements i have to do? :)
Thanks :)

Bump for teh ISSN
And to all the cynics out there...
Yes they do sometimes get owned. But it's obviously due to Solar radiation and global warming

I would be very interested in joining ISS in any capacity (though security seems like a good way for me to go)... I think this is the true spirit of the game...
I am a month old level 2 mission runner (Gal) with 800k SP though so I may not be of much use to you yet... but I intend to be one day. (Perhaps I should join a PvP education corp first?)
