Quick question, why is it large factions are willing to give out the blueprints of their newest creation, and not make any themselves?
Isn't it slightly odd that Lai Dai, and other groups don't have any sort of T2 market? Perhaps a small, NPC feed of T2 items would help deal with the issues. I'm not saying make it overstocked like so many other things, but just some T2 ships/mods sold at random stations of theirs daily.
I'm well aware of people buying it and reselling it at higher prices, but you'd still have people who use them getting the ships/mods at a deal, and it would give SOME competition to the caretls and monopolies that we see.

Signed. Great idea. No matter what happens, the more supply you have prices will drop.
Maybe they could add t2 ships at cost prices onto the parent companies agent offers instead of faction ships ? Would stop people having an alt in every region and still having the monopoly on t2. And on top of that it would add more flavor into who you work for, making rewards seem less generic.

Signed as well. I don't make isk to buy a rediculously overpriced ship that goes to some other lucky guy who got his BPO.

Heh, that's funny, because I just posted about the same subject in the general discussions a few seconds ago
NPCs should sell all T2 ships/mods at high prices to regulate the insane monopolist prices. So, no selling back with markup for cap rechargers II (for example) which some find clever and is just plain exploiting of a flawed system.
We are supposed to specialize, I pity those who specialize in HACs, for example, and let's just wait to see the first reckon ships... Luckily, my HAC of choice has been the Eagle for long, being sub par has adavantages

Why don't NPC's sell T1 ships? It is so annoying having to go one jump to pick up a ship.
Oh right, player driven economy is supposed to be one of EVE's big things.
I don't think you trust, in, my, self-righteous suicide. |

so youd rather have a market crash then a healthy ecomomy...
and CCP is allready using NPC to regulate the market prices...
they just havnt used them for t2 yet
so much for your playerdriven economy ____________ The cargo bay is overloaded and cannot be made to fit Expanded Cargohold I. It is currently only capable of fitting 8772.12 units and it is currently jammed full with 9558.33 units. |

NPC factions did used to give out T2 items.
The in-game backstory reason they don't anymore is because CONCORD now forbids agents to give t2 items to the pod pilot community. This annoyed the Caldari and Amarr, and thus presents a source of contention between those two empires and CONCORD. However, CONCORD did not ban the sale of BPOs and pod pilots trading among themselves (pod pilots are, to an extent, above the law).
The overall gameplay reason is because it proved impossible to generate a player-run economy around t2 while agents were giving out the items. I'd like to see CCP work to fix the t2 economy along these lines instead of reintroducing t2 agent drops. ---- "Well in this case, he's being flamed, and rightly so, for whinning about a game mechanic that doesn't actually exist." -Lorth |
