Ther are two ways
1) sell all ships loot and mins whatver you cant sell recycle and sell the mins. The buy up as much Megacyte as you can. Then get an indi and fill up Giant sec cans until you you run out of megacyte. Deploy jet cans in a SS in the most crap (rescoue wise) 0.0 system which is never populated. and fly your char to the opposite side of eve. HA NOW TRY AND STEAL MY STUFF HACKERS !!!!
heheheh
or
2) Leave your account logged onto the EVE server 23hrs a day and make sure spend the 1hr DT checking for when the server comes back up so you can log on at 1 second into game.
Of course for ultimate protection use methods 1 & 2 together , Happy Gamming

Hmm thanks
Hey, HEY! I just came up with another way. Cancel your account and if the hacker wants to steal your stuff he has to reactivate your account himself with his credit card! And then when he dosent find the megacyte on the other side of the universe and logs out you get a free month of eve!

So what you're really saying is that megacyte has a nice profit return over time and people would be smart to invest in it. Very nice, but the space illuminati are going to be very angry that you are giving away their secrets.

Bah, someone already beat me to the "get rid of your account" method
Another method would be just to take everything you have, and give it to your corp. After all, if you do that, then no hacker can get at it, unless he hacks someone with the right access to the stuff

Edited by: Golerre Evraun on 11/01/2006 07:28:04 wallet pin code, ala Runescape
the pin code on runescape for a storage account takes 72 hours to be reset, ample time for the accounts real owner to log in and figure out he's been hacked.
also the pin code isn't entered using a keyboard it's a popup keypad where the numbers randomly change position when clicked, meaning no keylogger is gonna catch it.
a side note, gee wouldn't this **** off the macroers ---------------------------------------- If you ain't dyin, You Ain't tryin. |

Or just buy a station vault, password it with a random strong password and throw all your investment and goods into there.

keeping your account logged in doesnt stop some1 else from logging in and booting you off.
When I got my account hacked (over 2yrs ago) they really ****** with my computer and blocked eve, so that when i opened eve it looked like the server was down, also I couldnt log onto the forums. I just thought ccp had unscheduled dt to fix a bug.
OMG!!! sig removed without a note, WTF?!?!?! - Tenacha |

Sadly that wouldn't work. If somone logged on your character while you were using it you would be kicked off and they would log on.
Found this out a few times logging on my second account and forgetting to change the login info

Whats this post about anyways? is there an epidemic of hacked accounts in Eve online compared to other games in its likeness such as world of warcraft or everquest?
