Since migrating to a new server, avatars do not work anymore.
It looks like adress of avatar is set to 127.0.0.1/smf/avatars folder.

No smf folder exists and I don't find out where this value is set.

Also, when chossing avatar from profile, we can select image (avatar show up) but when validating form, checkbox goes back to "no avatar" and then no image is selected.

I saw in the past one person got that problem and reinstalled TEA, problem with me is since upgrade installing / uninstalling looks like bugged (many red steps while test uninstalling). I don't want to go further because of this.

I think there is maybe a chmod set problem because no avatar is uploaded in /avatars folder.

And yes, same files uploaded by ftp, permissions updated, database backed up and restored, and domain was moved to new server, so links stay the same.

It's like when selecting avatar image in profile (that shows uo at this place), it's not correctly uploaded in server (don't lnow location of theses avatars files) and because it's not uploaded, smf chose default image (with wrong path).

And regardless I can no longer edit jabber settings -_-

Im having trouble where additional groups are not assigning properly. I have two additional groups based on two different corps. They are setup as AND with both requiring ROLE:Director and IS CORP (corp id of respective corp). However directors seemed to get randomly assigned to either one of the director groups rarely in the correct corp. Is this a known issue?

Sure hope some of you smart people can help me. Kinda of a strange issue.


I have temars set up and working for the most part but I am having an issue with assigning people to an alliance group.

Currently I have it set up adding people to groups from my corp, and it works great, but when I try to do the same thing for the alliance it is not working. It will not assign any person to the group UNLESS they are an admin.

I have check the alliance ID and its correct and when I check each person's profile it shows them in the alliance, but temars will not add them to the usergroup I created, unless you are an admin.

I have also recreated the group and created a new group for temars to add to, but nothing.

This seems like a great project and all but normally there is an outline of what needs to be done to set this up with SMF, currently the git repo for this really is missing that. It has a 'readme.txt' file but that is even very not helpful.

Anyone having issues with SMF and this Module? Everytime I load the forum it loads a blank screen. IE, Fire Fox, Chrome, and Safari are all showing this on 3 different PCs. Trying to trouble shoot my hosting server as well but all of my other sites that use PHP and MySQL are loading fine.

Fresh install. I host the server myself. She's a virtual server and shares space with other sites. None of which have any PHP or MySQL load issues as they're all Wordpress sites. I'll blow away this install shortly and see if it was an issue with SMF before the module was added and report back. The virtual server has 8GB of RAM with 4 processing cores. Per linux commands I'm only using 3GB of RAM right now. I've been trying to find the command to increase memory allocation to MySQL but my Google skills seem to be off these days.

Ok. Someone try my site. http://de-14.bigracktech.com I've reinstalled SMF and TEA with the same issue locally. If you can get to the main page, try to register and see if that goes through. So far every browser and PC I've used hated both SMF and SMF with TEA. I've tried searching the SMF forums for a fix as well but my google skills still aren't up to par.

Its a shared server so I have 12 sites on its all at once. What is the price to get the suite but I host it myself?

Ok so I've shut Compressed Output off - no change, I've set the database connection to persistent - no change.

Could this be a CentOS thing? I see you run Ubuntu. I doubt it cares what Linux distro I'm using.

I'm going to build a VPS with nothing on it and install from scratch tomorrow night and see what happens then. Pretty strange that this is an issue that dates clear back to 2004 with SMF. Anyone else have any ideas to try out? Would love to have this software running for my corp and alliance.

Sorry I haven't replied. Looks like SMF went to version 2.0.11 - I've done a complete reinstall of SMF. By itself I get the blank screen errors. trying to find the PHP Error reporting on my control panel to see what information it provides. At this time I have not installed TEA.

Finally fount the issue, now the mod is enabled and working!

Attempted to have it pull my avatar from eve, got this error:

The database value you're trying to insert does not exist: p_avatar

Hoped it would be common enough that the fix would be found easily in the thread... no such luck. Am poring over all the modified files now to see if there's some other little problem I missed, but if anyone knows the fix for this and wants to save me some time, I'd be grateful!

EDIT: Regarding rules, do I understand correctly that the rules defined in this image will mean that the forum checks API, finds that the user is in our corp and assigns them Usergroup 'Peddler' and if the user also has Mining Frigate level 1 then they will also be assigned Usergroup 'Prospector'? Is that correct?

I still seem to be having a problem where I keep having to manually clear the tea SMF cache. The Teacron job is running ok but I still have to clear the cache manually before changes take effect?

Anyone any ideas?
