 Anyone notice an improvment?

I was in 0.0 space, in Germinate, and it was very very good, pretty much lag free (nght b4 there was not too much lag though, but it was still an improvement), but what about for the rest of the universe. I see most of the agents have been moved home again etc, i wander if that ahs anything to do with it?

 So storys please....

Seemed OK, but still a delay in right click menus and hangers.

Was in Isaneiros yesterday (2 jumps from Jita) and experienced some strange lag moments where at one time everything was going fine and then for 10-20 minutes it took 20 sec to activate/deactivate/move modules in my fitting window ... very strange, seems to come in waves now

Doing missions last night and did notice some lag, there was an improvement over previous days but will have to wait till the weekend, when most people are on, to see if there really was an improvement.

The wildlands were pretty lag free last night...so was Rens and the like.

But then again, I've never really had insane lag issues down here.

I was in nonni and spent 6 hours copying 100 bookmarks :( A few months back that would have taken less than 5-10 minutes.

I wonder what it is they've done to reduce lag? Patch notes just mentions
Quote: Various load balancing changes have been made in an attempt to decrease lag in peak times.

But if the load balancing is still static and done during down time (as I was under the impression it was; but could be wrong) then won't we still see appauling lag when the 100v100 fleets go into action and by coincidence the other systems on that node are also involved in fleet action or packed with players.

It would be nice when things calm down at CCP to get a dev blog covering whats been changed recently to resolve lag and how that should help along with future plans (except hardware as we've seen a blog on that).

 Mainly because I'm curious :)

One patch note that is great to see in there is

  Quote:
It is no longer possible to anchor or online starbase structures when the control tower has less then 50% shields.

The number of people that have been abusing that mechanic to strip pos' that are in reinforced mode then move all the guns etc to another pos/rinse repeat was getting silly.

Keenon: "After sitting in the system for FIVE hours without even a (go away)"...

It was bad in the beginning travelling through some core systems in Gallente/Amarr space on a shopping spree (no, not the mission). Remembered that I hadn't cleared my cache folder, and after that it was better. Not good, just better.

I had some uber-nearly-killing-my-ferox-in-a-lvl-3-mission lag that caused me T2 large shild booster to lock in the "ON" position.
Turn SB on, target next rat, start shooting, lag, lag more, rat dies, click to turn off shild booster, shild booster stays flashing orange, no cap, other rats attacking, running out of cap, run out of cap, shilds going down, hardeners not comming back on, shild booster off at last, scrambler killed, run away.

 oh fun

Lag was non existant almost in Rens and near.

I was up in the new missions areas, such as Frarn and Balginia with my mission toon, both systems had under 15 people all night, and the lag was more unplayable than Rens has been. 2+ minutes to warp, start orbitting, activate weapons, etc.

Methinks there's been some 'creative' reallocation of resources.

Still some lag, but atleast an improvement, still experiencing what i like to call 'contagious' lag, where as soon as u pass through a crowded system the lag sticks with u and won't go away untill u relog (even if u move to an uncrowded part of space)

 Still unplayable in Hageken.
Nearly lost a Dominix during Spy Stash because first the hardeners donŠt get online... later it took about 20-30 seconds to get the armour repairer online. I ocked the enemys for several seconds but cant use any weapons because they dont appear as targets. Close to this i was dampered an lost all locks again... without drones and their auto tracking i had lost my ship because of lag.

After the Mission it took up to 5 minutes!! to dock at the station. Im a bit ****ed since middle December it is impossible to play eve.

When I logged on I had a tremendous amount of lag. Like, two minutes to warp after undocking kind of lag. It seemed to fix itself over time, so maybe it was some kind of post-patch client thing.

No lag ? Tell me on what server you were playing.
I made a trip from Devoid to Caldari Space and back, and around Amarr space on my way up, lag strike and stay all the way up north, and back, getting somewhere between 4 and 8 fps.

Litterally a slide show, a slow slide show.

At about 0700 Eve time I was mission running (dern courier missions) so I was browsing the market during flight... Tash Murkon market was nice and quick to respond, jumping took a few seconds more than I'm used to, but I was also uploading photos to an ftp server for about a good 40 minutes.

I'll report back once I hit up Jita.

My understanding was that lag would not be affected much until the server changes?

I had lag trouble last night only when I tried opening the market screen while in space, and a minor hiccup in Rens. But it was 90% decent.

Lag for me didn't seem bad, but the mem leak issue seems to be worse. I had to log 3 times within 4 hours because my mem usage shot up pst 450mb and my hard drive was going nutso. Some people say they have never experienced this, but I know many that do. It's unrelated to any computer specs, amount of ram, area you are in, etc. so please no posts about "check this" or "check that" on my computer.
