as the topis asks, what is better to take out npc frigs, mediums or lights, and would a web help?

Light drones have more tracking speed..so must be handy.And if they are too fast you have to web them to get good shots and make more damage to them.As I do with my enyo.I web the webber Guristas frigates to kill them fast!

The fun thing that happens with large drones and small ships is the larger drones are always playing catch up to the smaller ships (they're too slow to orbit), therefore, because they're always behind their target, their transversal is always small.
As opposed to attempting to orbit which has a high transversal (more extreme angle to the smaller ship).
SO, just put all your time into the drone optimal range skill/mods to increase your hits.

I was running 2 light/3 medium (Tech II) last night and doing a few lvl 3 missions, they were pop'n frigates faster then I could get a lock on them.
All lights don't tend to pack enough of a punch when it comes to fighting crusiers, though all mediums take a bit longer to take out the faster frigs and spider drones, so for frig defence I opt for a mixture. (I prefer lights and meds over heavies for speed.)

For AFs use medium drones.

Aye, I run 2 warrior IIs and 3 of the Ammar tech II meds (forget the name for some reason). they chew up and spit out any size of frig, and can still widdle down the big ships.

I use Tech 2 mediums. They Destroy frigs extreamely fast, and can also be used agaisnt crusiers, and they drop fast.
Mediums are the best option.
