I was chillin at the gate in a .4 system, causually just eyeballing traffic coming in and seeing where they went. I really didn't have any intentions of gate ganking anyone, but I guess I forgot some noob has set a measly 100k bounty on my head. So now I am low sec with a skull icon, makes people scared I guess =) So this guy in an Iteron IV msgs me (very politely I may add) somethin like this "Sir, may I please pass through your space?" Well so now I had to play the part, and I told him that I wasn't sure if I could let him pass, as I was really in a killing mood. I said to pay me 400,000 and I'd not blow him up. He said it was very fair, and gave me an extra 100,000 for "my mercy" LOL. Now I'm sure many of you guys think this is way too low, and I suppose it should have generated some suspicision as to why he'd volunteer MORE than agreed. Maybe he had like 1000m3 of zydrine or somethin? Oh well, but it was funny, and I didn't even have to do anything. Someday, maybe I'll be as greedy and corrupt as some other players

Jon Hawkes	Posted - 2006.01.11 20:21:00 - [6] I've used this tactic myself when hauling small equipment, BPs or skillbooks in a frigate and can't be bothered taking the long way around high-sec Empire. If I spot a lurking gate camper, I usually just convo him (from outside sniping range) and offer a couple of million for safe passage. I know that I could get out of trouble in time if I'm in a quick moving frigate, but don't mind paying for the convenience. Pirate gets some isk for zero effort and I don't need to turn around and head back to 0.5. Everyone wins. Although it is really funny watching other pilots follow me through thinking the sniper is AFK and they will be safe! Free production, refining and POS resouces site
