What is the point of steel plates II? They give 2 more points of armor for more money, more grid, more cpu and they have higher reqs. ______________________________________________________ I forget which station container has my memory implants. |

They can be manufactured, Tungsten are drop only.
Still doesnt make them good, but thats the supposed benefit.

T2 are a lot heavier. Trash :/
Warning: above post may contain traces of sarcasm. "Corpse cannot be fitted onto ship. Only hardware modules can be fitted." |

A little sucky when you see how much better t2 extenders are compared to best named. ------------- Please fix the EW stacking bug, it's a disgrace!

Well, they are like most tech.2 gear in that they have stats comparable to the best named items, but higher fitting costs... the benefit is you don't need to hunt NPCs and hope for lucky drop.
the part that really kills them though imo, is the weight penalty that's equal to the tech.1 steel plate, instead of --like the rest of stats-- match/improve the attributes of best named tech.1 plate :/
(that's for the smaller plates anyway. with battleships i figure the weight penalty can matter somewhat less...

ROFL, they are heavy as T1? your kidding. CCP should get to putting the weight on the attributes so we can all see it more easily.
Many T2 are cheaper since they can be manufactured. I guess the plate BPO holders are not bothering to match capacity or they are just too many plate drops. TBH there are really quite a few plates... ____ If your not dyin' your not tryin'. |
