Can someone explain what these skills do to me? I hear they were just put in. Also, has someone tested and confirmed they work?

Can only confirm that the Mining Foreman skill indeed gives 2% mining yield per level on lasers/strips while in a gang (doesn't work on drones btw).
However, there's one bug; for example, if you have 3 players in a gang (in the same system/undocked etc/together), and 2 players have the Mining Foreman skill, and one of the players with the skill leaves the system. Meaning, leaving behind 2 players in a gang with 1 player still having the skill, the skill doesn't work anymore for the 2 players. Eventhough it still should work, since there is still one player with the skill in the gang in the same system.

Thanks for the reply. I assume it doesn't work at all if you are not ganged, correct? In other words, if you are solo mining, you get no benefit from it.

You still won't get the benefit of the skill or any other gang skills anyway.
