But plz remember, that pilgrim's cloak allows it to chose range of engagement... And if pilgrim pilot see that enemy is superior, he just dont engage :P

Well, The Pilgrim is weak to be honest, The strong part of the curse is the range bonus on the nos. And 6 med slots. I wouldn't call the pilgrim overpowered.
For me, I personally would not consider myself weak in a Pilgrim. If I had Amarr cruiser up to 5, I'd be flying the Pilgrim over the Falcon. I can do more damage with a Pilgrim using drones than I can with Falcon using missile. And this is coming from drone and missile specialist. 39.1M skillpoints and still counting.

Yes... cap is gone fast... even pilgrim with its 3 nosfs can do it fast... and curse has 5... But you were using drones against curse, so cap was important for you only for armor repairing... and when it comes to tanking, curse/pilgrim cant challenge well-fitted bs... just because of its ammount of armor/shield hps...

Well, Not weak. But compared to a Curse, it lacks advantage. Where it dictate range with the cloak, The curse doesn't care since it has long range nossing abilities..

I am aware of the whole downside to nossing stuff and depending on it to survive. Oh and how can you CALL yourself an experienced recon pilot when they've only been out for such a short time... I don't really call that experience, just playing around with it..
since the guy who posted that did it with a 4 day old in a newbie corp i would take IF he did it or not with a pinch of salt

Ravens are quite deadly for amarr recons... especially those with ganking fittings and passive shield tanking... drones just cant break it fast enough... and then only one bs kills recon, not 3...

then fit Caldari jammers... Most Hacs Die to raven anyways, It's nothing 'especially' exclusive to amarr recons lol

True... You are right :)
But it just show, that this ship isnt so powerful... there are many battle situations, when its nosfs and tracking disruptors wont help... think about close range minnie hacs... they need little cap to shoot... and are dealing awesome damage... at close range disruptors wont help as much against autocannons, cause of big signature radius of curse... it will be hit for nice damage for sure...

Define well fitted.
The BS would need cap to rep. The Curse steals the cap it needs to rep. Plus its weapons, if you equip any, can be missiles which don't use any and drones which don't use any.
For me, it is the ideal ship. I yearn for the day when there is a missile hardpoint gallente drone ship. Too bad the arbitrator is so damn thin and ugly.

I for one am actulay quite content with the minney Recon ships.
In my opinion there the best cause there the only ones that brings somthing "New" to the field. And this makes all the differnce, cause it means its the only ones that cant be replaced with another ship type, Essentialy Minnie Recon shps have a unique role, so regardless of its usfullness, it still makes them more powerfull. They best compliment Interdicters, and combined with sniperthrons or whatever, would make for a great gankteam. -Eli

Well actually... A two heavy nos raven doing that on a vagabond or muninn will pretty much kill his cap, There's no way to tank a Ganka raven in either of them. Especially now with javelin torpedos.
I never said the Amarr Recons were unbeatable pvp machines, I only pointed out they had more offensive capabilities, while others were more defensive, And some completly useless.
And for the Guy who posted about the Minmatar one. The minmatar Recons are offensive, but they lack defense haha. They're just.... Lacking alot of it..

Not sure what you meants but Rook has 5% bonus to heavy and light missile kinetic damage.
As for the Recon ships i like the fact that it's not all about damage with those ships. Would be nice to have more low slots on the Rook its not gonna survive long when jam fails :( --------------------------------------------- <Make ECM Burst useful> ECM Burst Idea! |

It was heavy heavy sarcasm. I think/prefer the falcon, I has 3 lows and still the same ammount of meds, still has the strenght of a scorpion, so it ain't that bad.

You've been praising your sacrilege for almost as long as i can remember, and now it sucks? Where did that come from. It's an awesome ship.
Now you got a damnation/whatever, tanking like a sacrilege, doing the damage output of a zealot. I wouldn't be crying if i was amarrian.
How about everyone else that has a sucky **** in their race get something uberly unbalanced for a change
Oh, And i love the hulk in your sig, it looks sexy... for a mining barge.. Kinda like a space bus...

A Damnation with the firepower of an Absolution would be nice.
The Damanation got one more low and one more high slot than the Sacrilege but less cap/sec and a higher sig radius. I do not have the skills to test the Damnation but I doubt it will tank better than the Sacrilege without gang modules.
When HAC came out everybody said Deimos is overpowered followed by Zealot. A lot of people said the Sacrilege was one of the best HAC, too. I admit the Caldari HAC were weak before RMR but in the beginning some people bought some cheap Ishtars and Vagabonds. I suggest to wait instead of talking about RC without having some experience.
I have the Pilgrim and the Curse. Both ships are indeed very nice. The Curse is more powerful but after some tests I am very tempted to prefer the Pilgrim. With cloaking device you can choose your battles. Both ships are weak in defence IF the opponents manages to hit them. Drones and missiles hit them. Turret ships without drones will die if they don't have a good passive shield tank. I would love to test against a passive shield tanked Vagabond with autocannons with good falloff range. 5 medium drones or 3 heavy drones on the amarrian RC don't give gank ability.

QFT plus imo, a nos nerf is looming in the near future, can we at least leave the ships alone?
nos range bonus on curse is a bit crazy tho

Fyi the Rook's 10% jamming strength bonus makes it a better EW boat than the Scorpion. It also has a base optimal range of 150km which means less Sensor Booster II's and more jammers. Trying to jam a Rook is futile as it has 32 Gravimetric sensor strength. Since the 20% ECM Optimal bonus is applied to the Cruiser skill level (which is 5 regardless) you'll have a 151km jamming optimal with T2 racials and decent EW skills (level 4). And if you're an EW freak like me: With perfect skills you have a 67.5% chance of jamming a BS (avg. 20 str) with one single T2 racial. Who the hell cares about damage output or tank, let others worry about that. With that boat you can jam a fleet outside general sniper ranges.
The falcon is the lesser version of the Rook as it has a lower optimal range, sensor strength, EW strength bonus and CPU. However it can cloak which means you can sit cloaked 150km away from your gatecamp and not worry about enemies setting up on you. Jamming an assaillant and then cloaking is also a great way of escape.

Well sure, Caldari are the king of long range, Amarr are best of close range.
I like the Caldari ones to be honest, but solo wise... I know it's not the ship to be flying, but i'd like the falcon to have some offensive capabilities.. not just a blackbird with a shinny paintjob and cloaking ability (with the jam strenght of a scorpion + agility)

Personally I'd love to own either of the Caldari recon ships. The sad truth however is that at current prizes you could buy halve a dozen scorps (t1 insurance 4tw) for the prize of one kitted Rook. And with all the lag in fleetcombat and such you're best off with a bunch of plated scorps (20000 armor 4tw) than one fragile T2 Cruiser.

These ships ARE NOT head on combat ships they are recon ships they are ment to avoid run ins get in deep and send info back or set up a Cynosural Fields. Not all ships are ment for head on combat. Ships have roles that they excel at. Use them for that role.
