When i attempt to click someones portrait the game freezes and the screen starts blinking on and off.
Any ideas?

yeah, this game is going to hell in a hand basket latley. I try to look at ship info the game crashes. I see a red flasher in my overview and I get sentried. Sometimes for no reason, the game crashes and my computer restarts.
Ive tried everything and cant figure out what to do. Im currently removing eve from my computer and reinstalling it. so Ill see how that goes.
If not does anyone have a solution?

Ok after reinstallation, I find I cant even log into the game. As soon as i click on my characters avatar the game crashes.
What grapics card are you using? There is a "known" (at least by players) issue with radeon xpress,xpress 200m and some intel chipsets that causes the game to start flashing on and off when loading portraits. There is a thread that details a fix for it.

I have the same problem. Auto log off's and crashes, I have contacted customer support and they said to run DirectX diagnostic tools, this just gives them info about your system. I also went to pingplotter.com and downloaded its software as requested by customer support. The problem showed up shortly after rmr, Thursday I started getting these pop ups saying "message not found"
