i've been playing only two days,so far."ultra noob"..i'm in love with this game! all the different ave..you can take in this game, is just amazing. i come from a little game called,(PLANETSIDE);that held my hand for almost two years...and is now dying (imho).all thats been on my mind the last couple days has been...just think how powerful,i would of been if (i played here instead)... i'm at work now, only think of my next move in EVE..."ahh that noob smell"..i love it...p.s hope to be kicking youra$$ & making buddy's in the future...

Welcome onboard mate...took a bit of a break from EVE myself a while ago to play PS (Markov and Emerald both). Kick myself every day for it (too much lost training time).
Just wait until (if you are into production) you start crafting complex spreadsheets at work to account for production costs, revenue, and market trending.
I personally have never seen another game like this, and sadly I've tried just about every MMO that's come to market. Hope your passion continues mate.

Welcome to EVE !!!
I've been playing about 4-5 weeks now and am very glad CCP had made the changes to the game that has made it one of the best online experiances to be had!
On thing to keep in mind when attempting to decipher stats within EVE: small numbers mean very big things!

Damn, I wanted to play Planetside... The prospect of huge FPS battles was titillating.

its still going on,but i tell you about a year into (planetside)the battle where just huge..im talkin 300+ battling is the same place..it was great...

I came here from Planetside also. Man I loved that game, but like the OP said, it is slowly dieing (thx SOE).
I have only been in Eve for about 3 months, and I am lovin it.
But, I will never forget the old days of Planetside, nothin like rollin in a 10 man tank formation and busting into an enemy courtyard, ahhh teh good ole days.

NC Infiltrator from Emerald here.
I count Planetside as one of the top 10 games of all time (and yeah Eve is on that list too.)

Yeah I had that same thought, I actually bought EVE the first day it was in stores, I was still playing SWG at the time I think, or some MMOG, can't remember so I never really gave EVE a chance, I played for maybe 1 day, well a few hours out of that day, decided I didn't really like it and scrapped it. Now that I've come back to it just a few days ago to really give it a go, I'm really liking it and all I can think is how powerful I might be now if I'd have stuck with it back then. :)
Oh well...
