Here's an interesting bug I found last night, I've reported it, an confirmation would be great.
It appears that a member of a NPC corp can get can flagged when emptying a gangmate's can WITHOUT a warning message.
To reproduce: - While in player corp, form gang with someone in a NPC corp. - Kill stuff until you have cans with corp tags for player corp & NPC corp. - Wait for NPC corp player to empty one of your cans. - He'll flash red for 15 min., do as you wish.
This is different from the original RMR patch in that gangmates didn't get flagged, at all.
I ran across this last night while ganged with a friend in a mission. Oh, and let me answer a few questions up front:
- Yes, I'm posting with my main. I re-rolled. - Yes, I'm in a starter corp. I haven't found a corp I want to join/qualify for yet. Deal with it. - No, my gangmate didn't shoot me. We got a laugh out of it. - The can flag dialog IS NOT turned off. - Yes, I've bug reported this. - Yes, I've written this from the ganker's point of view. Until it's fixed, that'll be how it's used, might as well get it out of the way.
Happy ganking! -- Beware the Intaki Redhead of Doom! Meow! |

n00b1: Please help, someone got my ship blown by ganging me and tricked me to take items from can. GM_Annoyed: Sorry that you got trick. Dont do it next time. n00b2: Help, somebody made me took items then kill me. GM_Annoyed: Can you please elaborate further? n00b3: Why can I get killed in 0.9? GM_Annoyed: Did you get into a gang and take something from a can that does not belong to you?
*In the meantime, a backlog of petitions other than can flagging with higher priority gets flashed on monitor*
GM_Annoyed: Arrrrrgggggggghhhhh... so much work and more silly stuffs appear. Senior, please make this can flagging an exploit so we can process incoming mob.
*Senior GM steps in and make new thread titled, "Ganging people and can flagging grief trick is an exploit!"*
Also hard to fix, they are promoting gang mining, arent they? ----------------

Would the pilots in the NPC corp not get a warning when opening someone else's can if they are in the same gang as them then?

Yes, I'm sure that wouldn't be viewed as being in the least bit suspicious by the n00b corp member. |
