Well this respawn thing is interesting.
I just came back to a high-sec belt I usually mine the low end in (pyrox and lower) and now the scordite rocks are overgrowing into each other.. one is half the belt almost!
The biggest scordite rocks are: 8535.9 radius 7983.3 radius 6235.6 radius 5941.9 radius 5668.7 radius 3998.2 radius
And that's all in this one belt!

Man, you're right, those are some huge 'roids. However, I understand that if you apply some Preparation H, it'll help shrink the swelling.
(Hey, didja ever wonder what happened to preparations A through G? "Aww, man, back to the drawing board. Oooh, I bet that smarts..."

Edited by: dalman on 23/08/2003 16:00:38 Well, the 3 biggest roids in the belt I'm currently in has the following radius:
Veldspar: 26378.7m Scordite: 23431.4m Scordite: 26806.3m
So I guess you better find some bigger belts :p
*edit* And yes, there are roids much bigger than these... Only picked the ones in this belt ;)

Edited by: Entity on 23/08/2003 15:57:07 Evil Scordite roids with 70-80km radius exist. I once saw one 425km away from my location and it STILL filled the whole screen
BEWARE: The Evil Scordite comes for you in your sleep, making you stuck in your dreams, possibly to never wake up again unless a GM moves you.

Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. CCP should make a statement about this.
It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

yeah - i noticed the same, over the last few days all the Scord roids had turned into baby ones and popped after 20 seconds, now some are over 80km across.
Biggest i've seen so far is 42km radius ---------------- ~= Askari =~

wow.. 450km away and you can still see it? You sure that wasn't a moon?
Anyways, the biggest I've seen is 49k (there was a 49k, 47, 44k scord roid at that belt)

Yup, it was still visible at 425km. There's enough of these Evil Scordite rocks in the dead end 0.0 systems outside empire space. Some belts are really bizarre, spanning like 2-3 zones.

the way asteroid spawning works right now is that when you take ore from one asteroid, another asteroid grows in size.
So, especially in the dead end systems where nobody will bother mining the scordite, there's going to be massive scordite roids, because there's no reason to mine them down. Nobody's going to travel 10+ jumps to mine out a scordite roid.
