Quit EVE, look up if there are any tasks left from EVE in the taskmanager and kill them too.
Then delete the everything in the cache folder except prefs.ini and settings.
Tell us, if this has helped.

I have gotten the same problem. Comp just locks up at initial Eve splash screen. Any ideas?

Hey guys,
I had what I think was the same problem - I could log on, but after I chose a character it would get to the "Loading station xxx" part, get to the end of the progress bar and just hang there doing nothing.
I followed the procedure you laid out, ended a couple of tasks (doubt they were eve related though, they were just unfamiliar to me - plus i'd rebooted before and that didn't solve the problem) and then emptied my cache file.
I'd say thats the problem, because i'm logged in fine now. Thanks ;)

I have same problem. I'm waiting for the 1 hour, but nothing, progress bar on 'Logging in' dialog is full, remark botton 'Got attributes', but network activity absent.
I reinstall client twice - same result. 
After that reinstall my Windows, and after that install client - same result 
What happend? 
I pay the money for plaing, not for f**king!

Thanks, but still, it doesn't work.
I reinstalled EVE twice and nothing ever changed.
It may be a bug of 3805. so i've already submitted a bug report.
