I've recently been mining high ends in 0.0 space with my corp, and we've stripped a few belts of crokite, ochre, bistot, etcetera. 2 downtimes later, these asteroids have not respawned.
Is this a known problem?
Do we have to find a new system?
Basically, whats going on...?

if you pop them they take weeks to come back if you use survey scanners too see how much is in them leave 300-400 of the stuff left in it then they will come back within a matter of days

CS, higher-end roids are apparently only getting refilled/respawned on certain days; it's likely the day hasn't come yet where they respawn. Tuesday/Thursday seems to be the pattern for most of the good stuff.

I agree
You always hear the same old debate time and time again.
I wish the GM's would add the "real" answer to one of their FAQ's, then we can all get some sleep...

Can you imagine if they said "oh yes the good roids only spawn on tuesdays and thursdays..... every miner and thier brother would log on to mine on tuesdays and thursdays.
By keeping it vague people log on and mine whatever is there. And since they want people to move out of empire space maybe they are reducing the number of respawns to encourage people to move further out to find the good roids.

you will never get this question resolved because ccp doesn't have any documentation or anything to quote them on. Much like this game, a lot is unknown or information is not released, yet we idiots still play.

As far as I am aware, there is no hard-code to make riods grow or repop. Said activity is caused by external scripts run to modify the database during downtime. I believe these _tend_ to happen on tuesdays and thursdays (the downtimes that are always 1 hour rather then the occasional 20 minutes ones). This pattern may be changed at times though.

Recent rumor has it that the roids grow on both days..but only respawn on one. I wonder if this is the original myth...original myth in new form, or the source of the original myth before it got twisted and exagerated. Assuming its true at all.

I haven't done any mining since RMR,after which we have definitely had the odd glitch, if not change....
And I don't know about growing - although the Veld roids get bigger and bigger until someone comes along and parks a barge there for a goodly period....
But Omber in Gallente space where I've been most certainly respawned on Tues & Thurs for nearly 6 months.....
Same roids, same place - (apparently) exactly the same size.

Popping does not get rid of a roid--it simply makes it invisible. It will grow just as if it was still there. -- Proud member of the [23].
