Once again, I am here to request your excellent and appreciated assistance. After looking at the set-up of my raven to increase the shield resistance, I think I need a total re-fit.
I need my raven to do level 4 missions completely solo. I have many skills in both gunnery and missiles. And can use T2 cruise but not T2 siege, yet. My current set-up is as follows:
High Slots: 1x T2 Cruise launcher 2x 'arbalest' cruise launcher I 3x 'arbalest' siege missile launcher 1x 250mm prototype I gauss gun 1x150mm prototype I gauss gun
Medium slots: 4x shield hardener fields Tech II 1x shield extender II 1x shield booster II
Low Slots: 4x PDS II 1x 'pandemonium' I ballistic enhancement
Please any help would be fantastic.

The damage I do is only about 270 with the cruise. And 300 with the torpedoes. Also my shield is sapped very quickly when in hard situations.
The damage I do to BS in level 4 is also very low. The above is for things like moa. But for BS cruise only do 340 damage, and the torps only 300 damage! And cruise learning is maxed out. I need something to do 500 damage, that would be better.
I am using kinetic missiles.

What rats are you fighting?
Cuz for most of them you don't need to harden for all type of dmg and you'd be better of with 3 proper hardners, for instance when fighting Guristas, fit 2 kinetic and 1 thermal hardner.
I'd also swap the shield extender for a shield boost amp.
And lose the 250mm railgun, might wanna change it for another 150mm railgun, or better use 2 medium pulse lasers instead of railguns, they have better base tracking.

I don't see how you could hit for 500 damage with cruise missiles... Assuming you're using tech 1 cruise missiles, your target has 0% resistance to your damage type and you have warhead upgrades at level 5, your maximum theoretical damage would be 362.34 per missile (factoring in your Pandemonium), if I'm not mistaken.

Yes i am fighting the guristas and i use 2 thermal and 2 kinetic. I will give the boost amp and the lasers ago. Wonder if a large laser is more powerful on BS??
Why only 1 thermal? do they deal out more kinetic then thermal?

Um... 300hp base damage/missile, *1.25 for cruise 5, *1.10 for warhead 5... thats 412.5hp/missile before ballistics... ------------- Please fix the EW stacking bug, it's a disgrace!

3x PDU2 2x BCU1 (Purely because I still think BCU2s are overpriced)

Cruise Missiles L5 Warhead Upgrades L4 4x Dread Guristas BCU T1 missiles
Tho I'm using precision missiles too. They hit 560 to cruiser (and frigate sometimes) sized rats too.

My current setup:
6x named CM Launcher 2x Heavy NOS
1x C5-L XL Booster 1x Boost Amplifier 1x F-90 Sensor Booster (for that extra bit of range and targetting speed) 2x Kin Hardeners 1x Phased Weapon Target Painter
3x BCU I 2x PDU I
5x Med Drones 5x Light Drones (backup, against Spider Drones)
This is against Guristas, for everything else I swap the Kin Hardeners to 2x Y15-M Braced For Guristas Duo the Sensor Booster is swapped for a Thermal Hardener.
Hardest thing to kill is a Mordus Mammoth, this sob tanks really well.

What i have for level 4s is High : 6 Cruise IIs, 1 heavy nos or i can changes for a rail or somthing if needed. Med: XL booster II, Em, thermal, Kinetic hardener IIs, 2 cap reahcrgers ( f-b10s) Low: 3 PDUs IIs and 2 BCU IIs
Now depending on the mission u may want to add a sheild amp or various hardener variations, but i have been able to solo lv4s not to bad useing this setup.
