Quite a few spreadsheets out there already, but i just couldn't find one that covered everything i wanted to do. So, taking insparation from what i had seen i have put my own together and thought i would share. Let me know what you think, still stuff i want to add so all comment welcome. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 28 Day POS Planner An Eve-online tool
By Deor of UK Corp
This selection of spreadsheets is designed to help you plan your POS fuel requirements.
Use the 'POS Setup' sheet to enter information on the number and type of each POS tower and module you are running. This info is then used to calculate your fuel requirements.
The 'POS Fuel Calc' sheet outlines the maximum fuel requirements for each size of tower. It also gives you a breakdown of the quantity required of each of the trade goods and iceproducts. A rough guide on the amount of ice required is also given.
The 'Trade Goods Calc' sheet is used to work out the cost of buying the trade type fuels. Enter the unit cost of each type to calculate your total costs. The sheet also gives you a breakdown for the running costs of each size of tower.
The 'Fuel Management' sheet can be used to keep track of what fuel you have and what system/station/POS its in. It will also work out your total fuel quantity and how long this will run all your POS's for.
The fuel required and trade goods calculations are broken down by hour, day, 7-day and 28-day periods.
Check it out and let me know what you think!

I dunno how impractical this maybe but would there be anyway for you to use an exported market data and plant it within the spreadsheet for it to get the fuel mineral costs?

Nice :) Maybe an easy option to switch over to sovereignty fuel amounts per hour? (= amount per hour * 0.75, then rounded up)

A few things
It's missing all the new assembly arrays like, ammunition and ship building arrays Would also be nice to see what percentage of CPU and powergrid are left as well as the number system you are currently using
Needs to have sovreignty option
Overall, not a bad sheet

Edited by: Sfynx on 17/01/2006 23:58:28 Also note that not everyone mines their own ice, so it would be nice if the isotopes, ozone and water also can be priced like the trade goods.

Nice sheet! But (there is always a but) what about the enriched ice, also what about putting an option on refine amount like if you do it at a Outpost instead of a POS.

Thanks for the support so far guys, glad its something that could be useful!
Sovereignty is on my to do list, only found out about that the other day!
Will go through the database and pull out info on the new mods and get them added along with % CPU and power left.
Will add the ice fuel to the trade sheet.
The ice needed calc is very rough and ready example, i will look at expanding on it to take different ice and mining skills into account.
I was thinking of making this into an access database which would open up a lot of new options. Anyone care to comment on that as an option? .

Great spreadsheet, really going to help my planning! I'll watch this thread for updates...
IMO, a spreadsheet is easier to enter and get data compared to an Access DB. I'm a bit of an Excel junkie anyway, though

Edited by: Johnathan Roark on 24/01/2006 06:26:45 Ok, currently we dont have any POS claiming space.
But when we did, we still had a few towers not claiming space. Could you add a way to seprate theres without having to keep two sheets and adding them together?
Very good sheet even without that.

I knew someone was going to say that lol.
I'll see if i can come up with something, maybe have 2 POS setup sheets, one with Sov and one without. You could always run 2 copies, one for empire and one for 0.0. Not as neat i know but it would work. --------------------------------

Very Smart Sheet, its pretty similar to the one i've been working on, but neater, and more userfriendly, mine needs translating before anyone could possibly use it :p Thanks :)

Am I out of date as you have written Coarse Glacial mass when there is only Smooth Glacial mass with a Hydrogen Yield of 350 not 175? Same goes for other races according to the Eve online database?

One other thing that needs a little fixing is the "0.0 only" category. I know for sure that at least one of them can be found in 0.2.
Nice tool When I was young I wanted to be me, my childhood dream came true |

They changed the ice ingame so least ice you get now is the normal version with 300 isotopes and in 0.0 a bigger version with 350 isotopes also liquid ozone and heavy water is changed, can you fix that in your sheet?
other than that awesome sheet m8 |

I'm having a problem with it, It may just be because I suck with Excel. But no matter what I try it only factors in the cost for the racial Isotopes... "Under amount and cost for all your POS towers" it shows how many racial isotopes I need, but liquid ozone and heavy water are at 0 all the way across. And yes, I do have structures in the list with the POS.

Nice sheet, but I'd like to complain about a pet hate of mine...merging cells. Don't merge cells just so that you can centre text across several columns (like it is on row 21 of the "POS Setup" sheet), as it really messes up multiple cell seletion. Do this instead:
- Select the cells you want to centre the text across
- Format
- Cells
- Alignment tab
- Horizontal
- "Center Across Selection"
Sermon over :-) Lily
