If all EVE is to TTi is money and power, they've got 1 our of 2 guaranteed. Personally, I'm not planning on *working* for them. But they may have capitalism on their side, cuz every time I've got a few mil Trit/Pyr (most of the rest I sell NPC) I'm going to be looking around for best prices, and if they've got it (they're in the neighbourhood ATM, but not THE best) I'll sell to them. Similarly, *if* they have the best price on a Dominix in 10 days, I'll be buying from them.
However, I'll shop around. Ultimately they'll continue to be rich just by hanging in carebear space and selling Battleships. It doesn't sound like they'll be *powerfull* tho, as long as they don't have sole control on new technologies...
In any case, they don't sound like fun to work with or be allied with. But then to be honest, I think the whole "we own this region" thing sucks no matter who's doing it :)

Techell industries has every bit the resources TTI has, and are far easier to work with. I also have had positive dealings with members of Playboy Enterprises.
Hell, even when we were allies with TTI, Techell STILL gave us better pricing on ships. If TTI was unable to offer deep discounts to their own allies, do you really think YOU are going to get a better deal from them?
Look elsewhere. It's a free market and TTI is poison candy. The money tastes good, but it rots your soul.

people, as said here, there are a lot of NICE FRIENDLY corps out there that pay better then TTI.
Don't get tricked into thinking TTI are the nice guys, they even work together with pirate corps... Sell your minerals to TTI and get podded by one of their hangaround corps...

I would invite anyone to read the posts under the Scope forums about the Venal Wars if anyone is interested in learning a good deal about TTI, and the pirate corps they have allied with...one astute reporter even observed people purchasing a ship from Roark, only to have it blown up minutes later in a nearby system by TTI allies.
There are many corps out there with a better reputation, and better deals than TTI. I produce every ship Roark does, for quite a bit cheaper. Other corporations, such as Techell and Doped Players, also offer better deals than TTI, with atleast the same level of customer service if not better. Hell, I can usually deliver a ship for a byom deal and haul the minerals myself on my own time...how's that for customer service?
If people would spend a little time looking around for the best companies, they are out there...most of them arent nearly as obnoxious as TTI though, so you have to look a little harder to find them.
By the way Roark, I was checking out your corpse last night, it was almost as ugly as your new clone. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we're taking out you and your little pirate buddies like yesterday's garbage...i'm glad you have that stockpile of ships you like to brag about, a lot of you are needing some replacements

Vilar if your deals are so great why do you feel the need to thread crap? If your motivations are really purely political and are not just a cheesy attempt to gain sales of your own, why the mention of your own corp?

JEDI don't believe in the propaganda that opposition to TTI is spreading and fact is that I don't see THEM offering good mining contracts close to where we live.
I will soon be able to think about 3 billion reasons why you as a miner should deal with TTI. If you are honorable they will stay true to you, but talk **** like that about a corp you know nothing about is bull..
I am no super TTI fan, but their ISK for our minerals surely convince me. |

Guess you don't find it amiss that even though we were allies with tti and defending their asses, they didn't offer us any good deals, but kept spouting byoms? (Yes, lets mine that much tri, pyr and others in a 0.0 system, while fighting a war)

Well duh i'm going to plug my own corp.
As far as you JEDI folks, I will buy as much low ends as you can produce, at the same prices Roark was paying. However, unlike Roark my corporation is actually respectable, doesnt keep company with pirates, thieves, and bandits, and doesnt have to take a break from buying minerals right now because it's getting it's butt kicked...i'm sure Roark wishes he could say the same.
Additionally, im almost always around to help with hauling if you guys need it...how many times did Roark offer that?
Bottom line is, a lot of decent people got snookered into supporting TTI just because they were the biggest, so therefore it was assumed they were the best. This isnt propaganda. This is fact.
Fact: Roark/TTI actually paid LESS than a lot of other companies for low ends...they just made the most noise so they stood out more.
Fact: After attempting to take over the Alliance they were supposed to be equal members in, they were removed and are now allied with Space Invaders and Paladins of Red Skull, both notorious pirate corps.
Fact: Many people have come to me to purchase a battleship, after buying one from Roark and having it lost to a Space Invaders or Paladins blockade minutes later.
The way I see it, any corp that allies itself with pirates is just as bad as the pirates themselves. TTI has always done dirty business anyway...paying pirate corps to attack our operations in Fountain, for example...they are a bunch of thieves and scoundrels, and eventually any honorable person doing business with them is bound to discover that.
Happy? Not a single mention of my ship deals

Eh, don't place SI in with them as allies, I don't think they are, but were lumped in as a 1 shot vote deal.
Anyways, they HAVE hired pirate corps. One of the foremost of those being m3g4, whom i think many of you know.
As for TTI buying minerals, i think that they'll be buying them again soon, losses need to be replaced.
