I feel the large null alliances have many afk systems deep in their regions. Having a home-base that is exceptionally difficult to find unless the ship is docked at the fitting depot allows small groups of players (can even be from opposing alliances) to shrink large alliance logistic lines. Forcing them to keep more ships close to home to defend their renters, isk-making regions, etc.
I think people from large alliances want them to be easily located out of fear. They LIKE their null-bear zones where they can make isk via rent, ice-mining, anom running, etc in peace.
I say this when I have a null-bear account as well. This would potentially impact my isk-making ... but it would make the game so much more dynamic that it is worth it.
Well, EVE development revolves around the idea that the game should be harsh and have a better risk/reward balance...
...for the other players, because "WE" are already playing it "right"...
In my view, a large alliance has the advantage of being able to log in 24/7 and watch my moves as soon as I log in. That is advantage enough, there is no need to put a giant bullseye they can locate if they as much as try to find it while i'm not even logged in. The Greater Fool Bar is now open for business, 24/7. I'm waiting for it to arrive on YouTube. It's recorded on Twitch, and Twitch is going to be integrated in EVE online, are you seriously waiting till it uploads on a different website? I've tried using TVitchy two times, and both times given up in disgust. It's a stupid kind of service, compared to YouTube, and it makes no logical sense for CCP to choose to release new material there.
You aren't the only one.
Try back-clicking in that thing to back up & replay a portion where accents made it hard to hear what's said. It restarted the entire twitch thing from the beginning.
And this is aimed at being integrated into EVE online? That is a nasty effect; making it pretty damned worthless for long vids where details at spots will be of importance to an audience.
Yeah I want to find it on youtube or some other service where the player won't pull that crap on me with an over 1 hour video. |

Who knows? Maybe she thought that a stalker whe leaves behind a beacon broadcasting his location 24/7 even when he's not using it is a really really stupid stalker...
(I'm not suggesting that making the yurt scannable 24/7 by every last goon and his uncle is a stupid idea. Just that it only makes sense to some of the parts involved, which accidentally are not the parts intended to benefit from the depot) The Greater Fool Bar is now open for business, 24/7. It really makes sense, doesn't it? But then this feature has been developed by and for the big guys, in order to feed them with easily squishable targets.

Because it's a sop. You can't benefit individuals over voluntary collections of individuals without utterly breaking the game.
At most you can offer new tools to create opportunities for the individual or smaller groups to outplay larger groups, but that still requires the quality of you "outplaying" others. As usual, you want your "solo player" invincibility, which you will never ever get. Ever. Full stop. Quit Eve, or at the very least quit posting about it. Was just wondering regarding the scanning down of and destruction of these modules. Would it be possible to have an alt in a blockade runner or deep space transport deploy it, and then scoop it after refitting?
That would solve problem of them being destroyed, gonna need transport to carry fittings and ammo any way. |

CCP's way would be to make them 100 m3 larger than the largest stealth transport's hold, so you're forced to bring in a industrial... The Greater Fool Bar is now open for business, 24/7. Come and have drinks and fun somewhere between RL and New Eden! |

Just a very tenuous thought, but what if....
... if these are part of a modular POS system, *and* the future POS system will be similar to the concept of kinda space cities or towns or something, as was mentioned in some interview a long while ago then..
Combine with the idea of destructible stations. Not doable at the moment.
But if a staging POS becomes a large collection of personal arrays and hangars and whatnot, all individually anchorable + linked structures - *where people keep all of their stuff* .. then, if bits of it get blown up, and *people loose their stuff with it* .. That would create come awesome incentive to band together and defend these new POS amalgam's of individually owned bits and pieces..
