As our playerbase grows, the multi social reality of RL tends to expand, and for that we must remind of some important things.
1st: Don't assume that your fellow next door player is a "normal" person as you.
We have people from all over the world playing this with diferent cultures, religions, beliefs and the X factors all mixed up in one community.
As EVE is ONE BIG unsharded server that multiplicity is even more noticeable.
A list of "we don't even remember to think that exists in EVE"
We have (almost for sure) players with:
 Physical disabilities (i know a few cases in EVE)
Mental disorders
Dangerouse, and i mean real RL danger here! (i remember one thread where one guy met with 2 others in RL and those others tryied to drug him and abuse him sexually)
Home problems
Suicidal tendencies (in RL ofc)
Pedofiles
Murderers (in RL also)
Drug/alchohol (no! not you Oveur  ) dealers/addicts
Homos and *******s
Severe health problems (cancer and the most horrific diseases ou there)
Movie stars and celebrities
ETC
ETC
ETC
So while playing with others we need to be understanding/carefull with other players and our jokes/trust needs to be well thought first.
Be all you can be in EVE but be carefull in the process.

I disagree, if we say a discriminational joke we're not to know they are any of the above so untill they tell us, they can't complain.

I'm guessing this is well intentioned, but really doesn't belong on the forums.
Watching out for internet predators = good advice.
Demonizing people that are different because they are sick / older / younger or have a different sexual preference is your own opinion, keep it to yourself.

tbh, if i was disabled in any way, i don't think i'd like people discrimating against people with my problem unless one was listening. i'd much rather they STFU completely, and didn't tell discrimatory jokes...

To be CLEAR i'm NOT demonizing anyone in that list except (perhaps) what is of "common knowledge" HARD social deviante behaviours.

You bring up a good point but your delivery is a bit off. I don't know if you realize it but your use of certain words is by their very nature derogatory. First off, homos is not the correct word: its either Homosexuals or ***s. Homos is just as derogatory as****,****got, or any other explicative. If you meant to abbreviate then you should have wrote Homos./*******s and that brings me to my next point. Why didn't you include heterosexuals? It may sound silly but if you are being mindful then you should also be mindful of all perspectives: Black/White, ***/Straight, Eastern/Western, Northern/Southern. In this ever increasing shrinking world of we live in, we should be ever mindful of our own prejudices as well as others. I hope you don't take this offensively, I am hoping to simply offer constructive criticism.

I'm just tired. This is day 13 of 12 hour shifts at a mentally taxing job. I have an old friend of the family that is *** and really hates being referred to as a "homo". Perhaps it's getting more mainstream, I dunno.
When I first read this thread I thought the author was saying "Watch out for these kinds of people, they play eve", like there was something wrong with them.
Murderers, pedophiles... Yeah, totally agree. I saw "Homos" and sick people lumped in there... and I thought it was wrong.
I should learn not to post when exhausted ;)
