Edited by: Madboy on 19/01/2006 17:31:06 Hey peoples,
I'd just like to ask something simple and that is..
Why would you use tech 2 ammo right now and if you would. what type would it be?
Anyways, just curious. :) - MadBoy ..... Quote: F1, F2, F.......... Oh wait, Im not Russian... |

None.. The tracking nerfs they give for hybrids is stupid. Espicaly the blasters that all ready have tracking problems.

Spike ammunition and Eagles where made for eachother. 180 km and thorium-like damage.

Void M, for anti BC/Battleship work. Null M for a nasty suprise against enemies that are outside normal blaster range but are still a problem. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

If i could afford barrage S and M then my claw/stiletto/wolf and rupture would be kitted with it. 320k for 4 full guns and no spare on the rupture can get expensive the way that thing goes through ammo...

Of the ammo I can use and used.
Null S, cause it makes my taranis even more loveable, didnt think that was possible.
Conflagration L, cause it doesnt stack the penalty, which makes it possible to compensate for some of the tracking penalty, and out of that you get very high damage.
Gleam L, doesnt stack either, 900DPS tachyon geddon gogo.
Javelin torps, cause there's no penalty really, cruisersized killers.
Rage torps, only if I had painting around. Would not take to much space having few of these laying around in cargo when using siege2.

...what about Null?
Anyways the long range types seem to be well balanced. ----------------

Edited by: Cadiz on 19/01/2006 17:53:03 Null S makes blaster-Taranises much more usable in inty vs. inty combat. I love Null ammo unconditionally; it is brilliant all-purpose stuff. Same goes for Barrage. Good for all occasions!
That aside, I'd use Spike S if I ever felt like being plinking away at enemy battleships 70 - 80km out with a Harpy. Completely stupid stuff to do (hi2u sitting happily in sniping battleship optimals), but fun in a perverse little way.
Also, javelin torpedoes. Those are evil, evil things...

I would use Null M on a Deimos, and maybe Null S on a Taranis. Barrage also looks good for Minmatar ships (Vagabond and Autowolf especially), but I don't fly those. I think Scorch could be handy on a Retribution, but again I don't fly them.
The only time I'd use any of the others would be for ranged anti-frig work, for example fleet fights.

I agree it is silly to use Spike at 70-80kms on the harpy when you an use it at 100kms. Also to use it on BSs when you can use it on Ceptors. See? I agree with you a lot...

Well, i thought of an interesting possible use for Quake with a Claw. But i'm not sure i'm brave enough to test it in combat yet hehe. But from what i've seen the wrecking hits can be .. its amazing stuff. "Speak quietly and carry a big torpedo."

Void L to utterly annihilate somebody at point blank Neutron Blaster II range
Barrage L to hit with my autocannons alot further than with normal ammo and for the nice damage types. Hunting Angel npc's also comes to mind.
Hail L to rip an opponent a new one .

Edited by: Raid on 19/01/2006 18:51:31 Quake L is lethal ammo at optimal range. I was getting lots of excellent hits for 1100 damage each. The Tremor L is kinda crappy though. Unless your stationary you can miss even battleships at long range. Still usefull but i would defiently go with Quake L in battleship/cruiser combat.
Edit: oh at those high damage torps are lethal at close range against battleships. Mini nukes i tell ya.
