Anyone knows (not in theory only, I mean by personal experience) what's happens in those 2 cases:
1) More stores (i.e. launchpad/storage) send raw materials to the same factory (a specific AIF for example). Question: there is the risk to lose some material? I am afraid that both send simultaneously the materials and the second arrived get lost. (it depends how it's managed in SW code). Anyone has personal test on this?
2)A factory (i.e. AIF) sends materials to two (or more) storage (launchad/storage facility). Where the material arrives (the first, the second and with what logic)? what's happens if one storage become full? there is the risk that the factory attempts ("choose") to send to that storage, it fails and the second storage is not checked?
I will do some testing but I prefer to have other experience report on this 2 cases, in order to develop a special purpose PI layout.
Thanks for answering |

The second isn't possible as a factory can only route materials to a single destination. Once you've created a route from the factory to somewhere else (hopefully storage), the only option you have for that factory is 'delete route', you can't add a second. |

No, because if I'm routing to factories from two different storage, I'll have different materials in the two storage areas. So for example, if making enriched uranium, I might have heavy metals routed from storage 1 and precious metals from storage 2. |

The 1st issue is normally handled by not routing the max 3000 raw resources into a Processor structure. Route 1/2 from storage A and 1/2 from storage B.
Now this works like this: -- processor gets 1500 resource from A -- next it gets 1500 resources from B -- now if it needs more resources then it will take from A again
This process is only used if you want to have a 50% storage outgo for A and B. But normally you wouldn't bother and just output 100% from both storages as a Processor can't take more than what it needs and will never waste any raw materials.
