Mods could you sticky this for a few days, at least til saturday so everyone can read about it.
Just to get it off to a good start I have done away with having a special guest for the first show. There will be many people listening that do not even know what eve is.
However unfortunate they are for not knowing about the best online game ever, I think we should let them know what they are missing.
I would like to invite alliance leaders and corp CEO's to call in and talk about a few things. What wars they are involved in, who they see winning said wars, why someone would want to join them, who are the great pilots of thier groups, and anything else that comes up.
For the best 2 callers of the show I have a few things that could help out your corp or yourself.
I have a 1 run scorp bpc for the 2nd best caller.
For the best caller I will purchase a tech 1 cruiser for you. I leave it open for what race or ship type you want so you or a corp mate can fly it.
The chat room will vote near the end of the show and I will contact you in game to claim your prize.
I am far from being a rich Tech 2 bpo owner. So if anyone wants to donate anything for prizes contact me in game.
Show starts at 12 noon pacific time saturday (GMT-8 if i remember right) here in las vegas Nevada.
So remember go to www.EVE-NN.com and click the listen button to hear the show. Click cam & Chat to join in the chat room.

I am setting up a few things for the show at the studio right now. I will be near a pc I have eve on in about 4 hours. But I will reply to you and anyone else that eve-mails me tonight.

I picked 12 noon PST so some of our euro's that are upwards of 8 hours head of PST can tune in and call in.
There is also going to be a podcast available a little bit after the show is done. The archive page isn't running yet but thats because of not having any shows available for download. It will be running saturday.

Also I wanted everyone to know one more thing. I have had some requests to play corp/alliance commercials and rants (recorded piece ranting about some eve topic) during the shows break times.
If you make one send me a download link either in game or wait til friday evening and send it to the email address on the shows website. I haven't figured out if I am going to charge anythng for playing the commercials yet.
But until I do there is no charge. Yes that means its freeeeeeeeee. Hey and its internet radio too so it doesn't have to be censored if you don't want it to be censored.
The rants will be played free of charge always. But instead of sending a rant I would like you to just call and rant about a topic if you can. I do understand a lot of people outside the US and canada don't want to make that long distance call so I don't mind getting rants from them.
Just make sure you keep it 30 seconds or less and have a download link for me to get it from. Also send me info such as your website and a little info on your corp/alliance. If you can't host it from somewhere let me know and we can figure something out.

nice idea, though i would prefer to use an ingame link, and have it played like an ingame ship radio station. being uk i doubt i would listen at 8 in the morning, thats even if i'm awake. so links are cool, and ingame links will more likely get a click.

Dude... 12 pm GMT-8 = 20:00 GMT. Thats 8 in the evening for you in the UK.

It starts at 12 noon PST. (20:00 Evetime/GMT?)
Evetime may be a less confusing time to use since we all use it in-game

Time Cube Syndicate will donate 10,000 credits (10m isk worth) towards the eve-nn best callers to be divided as you see fit. E.g. 5000 for best, 3000 for 2nd, and 2000 for 3rd. Or you could do 2000 each for top 5. I let you decide, eve mail me in game if you are interested.
BTW, noon PST == @ work EST. :( I look forward to the podcast though.

Well vendrin pointed out that the time is actually 20 GMT (8pm your time in UK).
But that is probobly a great original idea for a ingame link for internet radio. Eve has an ingame browser but I don't think it will deal with .m3u links for a media player. If the browser had a built in media player it could use it or maybe a special file type only for eve. Would be really cool if it could pick up a podcast link too. Might be a great idea for the features and ideas section of the forum.

Are you going to podcast this? Radio is a ***** to get to for most people. I havent had a tuner in decades and Ive usualy got the download pipe stuffed full of bacon flavoured data, so realplayer stutters and mediaplayer "buffers" so much at the best of times you may as well type the data stream in manualy.

I'm sorry, I may have missed something here, tried to get some info from your website but everything appears to be "under construction".
What is it exactly you are doing? What can I expect to hear?
Oh and why is it stickied? Is it a CCP/Mods event or something? only i never see any Eve-Radio or Eve-Underground radio threads stickied.

The archive page will have the podcast shortly after the show is over. Once I have one in the archive I will submit the info for it to all the systems like itunes, and all the podcast search engines.

Its just a talk show on internet radio about eve with quests, callers, prizes for listeners and such. I wanted to do this about 1 week into playing the game for the first time right after it went retail. I wasn't in a position to do it then. But now I have the use of a great studio that is set up for internet radio (www.lvrocks.com).
Its not a music show, I am not a DJ and no one would probobly want to hear the music I would put in a playlist anyway.
The site isn't completely up as of yet. I am doing this whole show, site, engineering, sound editing, cam imagry, and promotion myself. So the guts of the system had to be taken care of first. Then I will make the site pretty. But I set a time frame for the show to start and it will start as scheduled. With or without a pretty site.
I tell you what I am not the best at javascript and php coding. Making the guts of the site meant learning a few new things. I have learned a new level of respect for the people that make the goodies on sites work flawlessly for a living.

Itunes is a wierd one. First you have to download the program, install it, register, then after all that you can submit a podcast. They keep changing where the submit podcast button is but you can find it inside of 5 min or so on the startup page for itunes.
If you need a resource for submitting podcasts to anywhere else, here is probobly one of the best listings anyone has put together.

I've been waiting for this kind of show for ages, something dedicated to eve politics, interviews and general natter.
i can see this being very popular as long as it remains independant from any particular alliance, im sure its possible.
ill be tuning in, and downloading that thingy on my ipod  Good luck guys
