This will give you a massive amount of defense and it Will run infinitely. Hi slots= 5x heavy launcher, (I prefer t2 launchers, but dont use t2 ammo) and 1 medium Nos. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mid slots= Named "Large" shield booster, shield boost amp, 1 cap recharger t1 , 1 Invulnerbility field (yup I said it), 1 Large Named cap battery --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Low slots. 4 capacitor power relays (t1 is ok) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes this setup will run forever using both the Large booster and the Invulnerbility field. You dont even need the nos and my cap skills arnt that great. My lowest cap was 41 Percent after 5 minutes. It gave me great resistances also. I would like to thank Dekein for the idea.

Actually, cap relays and a boost amp (or 2) dont give as much penalty because of the ever-so-lolworthily-bugged stacking penalty. It is probably, however, an exploit to use them this way - its been bugreported. Hopefully a bug this size means CCP might get around to fixing stacking somtime before kali... dont hold your breaht though. ------------- Please fix the EW stacking bug, it's a disgrace!

I have the best set up. 5 250 rails with antimatter 3 heavies 1 T2 Medium Shield Booster 1 T2 Large Shield Extender 2 Hardeners 1 T2 AB 3 T2 PDS 1 T2 tracking enhancer 5 small drones I have tried pretty much every set up. This is the best I have found, it clears lvl 3 missions faster than anything else I have tried. Wherever you went - here you are.

Well, not exactly sure about that 'best ever' bit; i mean, replace that with... 2x large shield extender, medium shield booster, 2x shield hardener of choice, 3x power diag + 1 ballistic control, if i remember right. ... and you get equalt amount of regained shield but comes with 2.5x more shield hp, lesser cap drain, higher damage resistances, way more grid left to play with and more damage output to boot. On the other hand with tech.2 gear the setup you list has so high cap recharge, could probably drop one of these relays or mid slot cap recharger for something different, improving either the damage or resistances, or both ^^

When i started out with my Ferox on lvl 3 missions i also used a Booster setup, but after reading several tanking threads, i tried another setup, which im currently using: Hi's: 4 * Heavies launcher 1 * Assault launcher 2 * 150mm Rails Med's: 3 * T2 Large Extenders 2 * Hardeners of choice LO's: 3 * Shield Power Relays I 1 * PDU I That gives me just under 11K shield, with plenty of resist and a good CAP recharge. I never have CAP problems during missions, nor do i need to warp out. SWG Exile from Chimaera.

High: 5 x Heavies 2 x (What you want) Mid: 2 x mission specific hardeners 1 x Invul Field II 2 x Large Shield Extender II Low: 2 x PDU II 1 x Warp Stab 1 x Shield Relay or the Flux (can't remember) That gets me through all the lvl 3's "Now you see me, now you don't!"

Impressive Here's what I use for lvl3 missions in a ferox: 5x heavy launchers (3x named, 2x T2) 2x 250mm rails (T2) 1x L shield extender (T2) 1x invuln. field (T2) 1x L shield booster (T2) 1x target painter (named) 1x web (named) 2x PDS (T2) 1x BCU (named) 1x magn. field stab (T2) (and 5x warrior drones) Works like a charm, for me anyways.

well a brain helps to, u kill the things in there not the ship so to speak. I mean a BC with adjustment in settings and flying for eatch mission if nesscary and the boost from RMR can't be that hard to solo Lv3 in now can it. To get the experince is another issue though -out- ********************************************************* Pay or don't!

there is no BEST average ferox fitting. The best fitting for a player for a ferox, depends on his OWN skills. Its your skills that matter how much u can squeze out of a ferox.

My Setup. High: 5x Heavy ML's, 1 Tractor Beam, 1 small hybrid turret (for tracking, generally a tech2 with AM, for orbiting frigs). Med: 1 med shield booster tech2, 1 large shield booster tech2, 2 active hardeners depending on mission, shield boost amp. Low: 3 power diag II, 1 Ballistic Mod. Very energy efficient.. Hardest ive done so far is a lvl3 guritas extravaganza Bonus mission.. Need to test higher threads, but it resists any lvl3 mission ive done. And also loots better than any other, dont need the afterburner either thanks to the beam so i can use the med slot left for more tanking efficiency.

Edited by: EternalDragon on 20/01/2006 13:43:01 What saddens me is I try to help everyone out and give some good info and people then decide to call me a exploiter and make fun of me. I iwll no longer be posting on these forums. There are too many trolls here. Stacking cap power relays is NOT a exploit or a bug.

Edited by: Xeios on 20/01/2006 14:12:38 Technicaly no it isnt. However the shield boost penalties are NOT stacking properly which IS a bug and thus IS technically an exploit. Regardless of that the full passive setup will give you slightly higher hp/s regen have much much higher hp's and better resist's. Oh and it isnt susceptable to nos in the even a Pirate tries to gank you.
