I am now the new owner of the account which has Muad' Dib on it. He was a pirate. Not a huge, well known pirate. But he has some true enemies, who would glady kill HIM. I am turning the character into a miner/pirate hunter. If you have any grudge against the person who killed your ship. (he never pod killed, from my understanding) Please keep it against him. Im not him.. lol Me being the new owner of the account, i am very sorry for your loses. I would like nothing less than for everyone to be at peace with my new character.
I wouldnt hold a grudge against you, if things were switched around.
In the end, if you are mad as hell at me... I can understand that. I just hope we can all be friends...

With all of the skills and materials items one gains by taking over an existing account, one must also be prepared to take over the reputation.

And how exactly did you 'come into' this account?
BUY it perhaps? Using out-of-context lucre to get ahead whereas everyone else has to work their way up?
That's probably still worth a grudge-kill to some, twinky. I wouldn't expect to get much of a free ride. Just ask some of them guys buying m0o accounts and finding they can pilot the ships but have no idea what to do with them.

No.. He never joined a corp either. He was completley a loner... lol
All of you who are still mad at the old owner's actions, it is understandble. But you will see, Muad' Dib isnt a pirate anymore. And soon you will be shot down by some other guy, and you will be all after him.
I just wanted to come out and say... its over. Muad dib wont be killing anyone anymore.
(I have a clone covering all my skillpoints, and plenty of replacement ships... so even if you do still have some rage, it wont really affect me)

You know, you could be some guy who bought the account on Ebay, or you could be the pirate, deciding to become ex-pirate, and trying to wiggle out of the consequences of your past actions.
There's no way to tell.
You don't sound like a newbie. Either you're the real Muad'dib, or you knew exactly what you were doing when you bought the account. |

I am not a newbie, nor am i the actual pirate.
I have recieved the account... You can more than likley figure out how i recieved it...
The guy has like 2.5m skill points... Of course it is to my intrest to get buddy with people. I am not a pirate. Im even planning on hunting pirates. (PVP) I am a economic minded player. Im coming out and saying, that Muad' Dib, the character's days of pirateing, are over.

When you bought this account, did the owner inform you you were buying a pirate character? If not, you should ask for a refund. If so, then you bought yourself a pirate, and can expect to be treated like a pirate. |

The only way that ppl know you are telling the truth is if the old Muad'Dib posted here and now you. Then then a mod could look at the IP's to see if they match, but that's not always acurate.
We had a Corp theft, and the person said that we traced it to said that he'd just got into the account an hour before I EVE-Mailed (theft happened 1 day before). There's no way to believe him one way or the other.
Sec Rating doesn't even matter anymore to determine a pirate only ones actions. You have to proven in-game to these ppl that lost assets to the old owner of the account you good intentions to expect them to trust you. Your word on a forum won't cut it for them.

Either way you must be killed:
- you are the real one faking -> death
- you have bought this account to get ahead of others players by spending real money -> death
The only winners on eBay are the sellers.

I am sorry but you are going to be on several people's/corp KOS list and I have no sympathy for you.
You have bought the character and all that comes with it. Skill points, ISK, Loot, Ships and sadly reputation.
Not sure why you have bought a combat character if you didn't want to partake in combat. Unless of course you never bought the character you just want to change your direction in Eve. I check out ebay quite often and have never seen this character for sale or one like it.
Keep your clone up todate and best of luck.

Speaking as a past victim of Muad'Dib - if Muad'Dib is willing to pay me a 100M ISK fine then I will remove him from my list of people to execute. If not then you may have to wait a while but you will eventually reach the top.

Hmmm, yes there have been a couple of occasions where 7 lasers backed by 8 damage mods and a scrambler have been passively pointed at various MDs, 'Maud Dib', 'Muad Dib', etc whilst I check my notes :-)
My death was caused by my own incompetence (loads of chat and evemail windows open whilst I was being targetted and shot at), but that will not save you from eventual retribution!

Far as I'm concerned, you buy the character, you bought the rep that goes with it.
Muad'Dib the character may have changed his ways. He will have to prove it *in character*, *in game*.
It's likely you will be podded many times before that happens.
