Berrik Radhok	Posted - 2006.01.21 19:51:00 - [1] So, I got my first BS ever, a shiny new Armageddon today. After ratting a bit with it and helping chase off some of the usual loser crew who tries to fly around my corp's home system with inties and pick off miners, I get bored and head down the pipe to Placid, looking for some easy kills. My fittings were a newbie snipeageddon setup: 6 mega beams, 2 med nos from when I was ratting earlier (can't fit large nos yet), 3 sensor boosters, 4 stabs, 4 cap relays. So after tooling around a while, I warp into an 0.2 system that has a few SNIGG in it and some neuts. I immediately warp to a planet and do a bit of scanning, after checking the three top belts. Whoops, wrong planet. Right as I warp out, a SNIGG intie warps in. Of course, he's waiting at the next planet, and warps in right when I do and tries to scramble me. Almost immediately, his buddy in a Nemesis decloaks and they both attack me. Now, at this point, I should have been able to easily win-- pop the stealth with my beams, nos and drone the intie to death (or at least drive it away). However, the stealth takes out my shields in like 3 vollies, and since I have no tank fitted, I of course panic Cue me attempting to shoot the intie and nos the bomber (which is 30 km away) while trying to warp out. Since I have 4 stabs on, I immediately head to the station instead of a gate, compounding my errors. A few minutes later, I'm camped in. Lessons learned: Don't panic and train my skills more >.<

It is not worth flying a BS untill you can FLY a BS. Ask anyone (except those that would profit from it) and they will tell you this.

But if you fill HALF your low slots with stabs you are planning for failure. I can see the sense in one stab to prevent a gank, but 4?

But the whole point I am making is that, a stealth bomber and a interceptor can not do crap to a geddon who is at a station or stargate. If he doesnt know this, then why is he in low sec, or in a battleship in general? -------- Recruitment

Fitting 4 WCS, well ID gank you in a belt for the horrific amount of stabs, and ive been anti pirate from day one. There should be a big picture of Dale Winton or something on your ship for each warp core stab that you fit. What are you going to gank, with 6 Mega Beams on, crap skills and no damage mods. T1 Frigs, maybe, everything else will just warp out. Suggestion: Try Dual Heavy Pulse, a webber and scrambler, light tank and atleast 4 damage mods. If you cant fit that, seriously go and get a Prophecy or Maller until you have skills.
