I asked a member of a pirate corp to 1 vs 1 me in a .3 system. He said he was in a cruiser. I told him I was in a Ferox which I was in. It turns out he was in a Deimos which I still wtf'pwned:
I deleted his name and his corp so there will be no issues.

And, you should have scanned him before you engaged, and learned he was in a Deimos.
As for winning the fight, well done, although I've no idea how a ferox could possibly beat a HAC, let alone a Deimos. Either he was very poor or your ferox setup is its exact counter.

I got a awesome setup with very good missile skills. the second i saw his deimos i put on havoc and em missiles.
I think the 2 medium nos's i had were good also.
Plus My tank is amazing with BC lvl 4

good going. I beat a 'Hawk' (that actually turned out to be an Eagle) in my Rupture. Feels amazing to know that they couldn't even win cheating lol.

Actualy a ferox with 2 med nos and a good tank should win nearly every time. Unless the ferox pilot has very poor skills.

Congrats on the good kill - I know how hard it can be on the cap when a Deimos gets nossed (especially with no nos of it's own) and most of the time you run out of cap before running out of 50% armour. Would've been a good fight to watch I expect

GD job, I know a few bc pilots who have killed hacs, i killed a eagle 1v1 in my retribution asault frig last month .

Several medium NOS/neut sucking him dry after he MWDs to the Ferox, having no NOS of his own?
A fraps would be interesting to see though.

A properly setup ferox can beat any close range HAC. I won't go into details but trust me, its very easy.

.. did that include a 1600mm plate in that setup? once encountered a vagabond it stripped my shields down in like 2 seconds (wasnt shield tanking) before i warped out.
And i do pittiful amounts of damage on any HAC.

I wouldn't class that as Cheating as he was in the end in a Cruiser Class ship, you just didn't ask enough questions.
BC after RMR have become very hard and with testing I've found that if the BC its kitted right and because of the bonus to Armour Reps/Shield Boosters they can be rock hard and easy take a Hac down 1 on 1.
If anything was unfair then it would be you Nos the Demio's LOL, I bet he was crying, I would have jammed your Ferox then watched you cry
I'm personally not in to 1 vs 1 arranged takes way the element of surprise which is a big playing in victory especially if your taking on a larger class ship.

Yer, this was a good read. Congrats on wining the fight. As in respect to a BC vs HAC, after the patch a BC can be setup up very nicly as a HAC killer.

Before rmr I would happily take on HAC's in a Ferox. After rmr BC's are all much better. I would not recommend attacking a decent pilot in a Ferox or other BC for that matter in a HAC. You can indeed win but it's going to be a close fight.
The resistances (for prophecy and ferox) are easily made as good as a HAC (I have BC level 5) plus they have more shield/armor and on average only lose out a little on damage output. I guess the brutix and cyclone have better damage but not so good a tank as the average HAC (not sure - never used). All BC's also have more ship resources (cap, cpu, power) to play with.
Make a HAC cost about 50 mill and then they might be worth it. I admit I've never used one but not really in a hurry to do so.
I suppose it's equivalent to the fact a good cruiser pilot should beat an AF every time. Not so clean cut but my money is on the BC pilot everytime.

Excellent kill! The Ferox is quite powerful and has a wide range of options in setup...but if you get complacent about it, you lose. Each time I've lost one, PvP or PvE, I've shrugged away those extra two minutes in fitting screen or engaged a known target without refitting specifically, even if the modules were in system.

Well fought.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again .... Underestimate a Battle Cruiser at your own peril; especially now people are training for Command Ships.
The only reason BCs are percieved as easily gankable, is because they were traditionally piloted by fledgings in their first "big ship".

Very nice flying.
I had a few fights in my ferox and every time i was impressed at how well it took the punishment. I've lasted for a good minute v 2 hacs (vaga and deimos) and managed to put a good dent into the vaga. That was with <1.5mil SP's.
I think i will have to look the old girl out and have some fun :)
